Experienced webmaster needed to help me
I can't get my formmail.pl configured properly to email me the info filled in from forms on my site.
I'd like to barter with an experienced webmaster to tweak this and get it running, plus do other very occasional tasks that won't take much time (just knowledge/experience). In return I will host your site for free, a full-service hosting account with plenty of space and bandwidth, all the trimmings. My site is here: http://cyberhostserver.com If interested and able, please email me at james@jhussher.com |

Have you done chmod 755?
Find out your host's location for perl and also sendmail. Which version of formmail is it? The older versions can cause problems. A good idea is to rename it to something else, coz spammers have bots that can search out formmail scripts and the actual name of it does not matter. It could just as easily be named sendit.pl Formmail installation is really easy to do and is well worth trying yourself.

chmod is okay
I got past the @referrers problem, it was because my webpage with the form on it was looking for formmail.pl and the script name as I downloaded it was named FormMail.pl the capital letters made a problem. I fixed that. I now am getting a http 500 server error, which the documentation said can be caused by the perl path not being proprly specified at the top line #1 of the script, so I am checking that now. This is the latest version, I just downloaded it from scriptarchive.com |

you are offering to give a free hosting account.. and asking for help on how to set up a formmail script in the same post? That just doesn't seem right...
