No offence Apu, but when they were handing out religions you must have been out taking a whizz

Yahoo Or Google?
I'm sure you like getting good listings in both, but which traffic do you prefer and why?
I personally find that it's easier to get Yahoo listings, but the traffic doesn't appear to be as much or as good.

I had Google traffic, it was ok, now I don't have google but yahoo traffic, I find it less converting, I don't know why ... In the past I thought Yahoo was better.

I'm not sure which is easier or which is better, but I do know that I get a lot more traffic from Google.

For the last few months, a test I was doing that used to bring a lot of google traffic changed to the point where it was almost exclusively Yahoo. There was less of it, that's for sure, but, I ended up getting the terms I was shooting for.
This morning, google came knocking, 1400 Googlebot hits, and I'm starting to see some google referrers in the logs today.

No matter how good you are at something, there's always about a million people better than you

Osiris I side with your opinion too. I had more google now more yahoo. But as I get more pages up in yahoo there I`m finding the productivity to start being comparable over the range. Hard to say when the search terms are different though. I lost a few goodies when google shook up. But one of my benchmarks did way worse with yahoo traffic. One was a typo though. Maybe that means yahoo surfers are more literate as a whole?
There are definitely something to be learned in all of it! Last edited by Robbo; 2005-02-09 at 12:12 PM.. Reason: typo of the word typo |
