Cheap content

Is there a risk of not being listed for using cheap content?

I want to build a Free Site everyday so buying $30-$50 worth of content everyday is gonna get exxpensive.

By cheap I mean the $10 sets.

You're more safe buying content than you are using the free content a sponsor gives out, but there are of course exceptions - like all those "5000 images for $99" deals - those kind of things are really overused.

Is that even a content site? It seems a lot more like one of those pay-per-click TGPs, but not designed as well.

Hi Cake, I'm in a similar situation as you. Just starting out it's hard to buy enough content to keep up with your ambition.

Also, umm, since we are new we don't know what's been overused or done to death already. So I figure it's hit or miss. Would be great to find a nice list of "Don't buy this...its been overused" type info...those kind of mistakes are painful when you're just starting out.

Part of the problem is that reviewers don't really know where a lot of the content comes from or who sells it - it's more along the lines of "I've seen this set 100 times before...."

But, that being said, you're still much more likely to get reviewed if you paid for the content yourself

I've had pretty good luck with the cheap content offered by ounique.com in the past. In the more popular niches they usually have some pretty good stuff in the $5-$10 range and it gets me listed. If you want to have any success with sponsor content you really need to jump on it and get the site submitted as soon as the content is released.

When I submit to LL's I only use the content I paid for, but I also realize there's a good chance of the same cheap content being used by a lot of people. TGP's are a little more forgiving in this area, but that's because page comes in...page goes out in a few days.

Would buying very niche specific content be safer? Was thinking on this...either A) yes of course it would because all the other webmasters bought the teen content or B) The niche is so small that there isn't that much content available but the stuff that is would be extremely memorable (and you stop to wonder how did she fit that orange in there).

I think your best bet would be to buy in bulk that way you have a better insight of what you already have at hand to build your galleries and/or free sites. Buy 1 month's worth to start and see if it works out for you. That wouldnt really be Bulk but it would give you a better handle on building your sites and check the results.
