How can I block one site without blocking all sites?
From what I see htaccess will stop us from getting “fusker”, but the problem that I see is I have to allow all the sites I want to have access to it, in our case we have around 500 affiliates with who knows how many sites, so I would have to allow each site of theirs to block this thief.
Can’t I just block his URL somehow? Life would be much easier if I could. |

Your affiliates do not hotlink your stuff, they just link to your HG and HS.
http://www.cleos-porn-links.com/adul...aster-help.php Scroll down to the htaccess part. I even have a link to one that will write it for you. You can check if your htaccess is working here http://altlab.com/hotlinkchecker.php BTW, not sure if Fusker or any of the others hotlink wmv files but htaccess is going to help you if they do. |

also, if you do allow hotlinking for banners, and have them in a different directory, you can always put a .htaccess in the banners directory with
RewriteEngine off and then protect the rest of the site. or if you wanted to protect just the /hosted/ directory, you could put the .htaccess there rather than in the top level. I have seen fusker hotlink members areas.

One big problem is most of us do allow no referral and some of fusker is no referral.
As far as I know fusker can't get through Strongbox, actually nothing seems to be able to get through Strongbox so those using it on their member's area I don't think need to worry. |

Ok, I finally understand what you was and still are telling me Cleo, sorry I am blonde and a man, so what I do listen to I ignore.
I put a htaccess in each of the hosted contents folders, and went to the thiefs site and all showed up as a dead link… I would like to be able to put in the gif Dirty D has… but this is a good start |

Thanks for the Strongbox plug, Cleo.
Redirecting based on a single referer: RewriteEngine On RewriteCond %{HTTP_REFERER} http://([a-z0-9]+\.)badguy.com [NC] RewriteRule http://whereyouthrowcraptraffic.com [L] The above code is right off the top of my head untested and my contain a typo. I don't know what it is this guy's linking, whether it's a hosted gallery for your affiliates, a members' area, or what. If it's truly valuable content there's a Strongbox plugin to truly secure that so that only authorized affilaites or customers can link into the protected area. What happens there is instead of your affiliates linking directly to your site, they link to a very simple PHP script that they upload to their own site and it does some magic to cryptographically secure the link. |
