A submitter is playing dirty tricks.. I am clueless

He is the same person, I can tell it from the submissions he is sending to me but he sent me 306 submissions so far in 24 hr... only niches I decline like mature, gay, shemale etc. popup hell whatever you can imagine.

Right now he was using 306 different domains and ip addresses.. I am clueless, what a time of waste.

Any helpful ideas other than banning them one by one?

oh my god... how were you able to tell its the same person? same name/email? or just same type of ads and referral id?
Do you know if he is using the form on your site, or using some sort of auto submitter?
If he is using the form on your site, a temp fix would be to change the url of your form for a bit...

sorry i cant give you more help, my jaw dropped when i read your post...

Partner accounts would solve this.

Verbal is right... but my tgp isn't even 1 yr old yet so I am always hoping to find new and honest submitters.
Yes he is using my form and the same ads and even the same mistake in the submission form so I am not even clicking his links any more just ban the new domains.
As far as I know I have never did harm to any of my submitters so I have no idea why he is having "beef" with me

I had that happen last week, over a few day period. Had to blacklist each individual domian.

To answer Neticule's question -
The people doing these things think that they are very clever, but after you've reviewed for awhile you begin to see patterns in name/email pairing, directory structure, filenaming, and general gallery characteristics. In order to submit that many galleries that quickly, you've got to have a system in place which obviously involves mass production. It's just a matter of time before the reviewer picks up on the similarities from submission to submission. It's like CSI without the DNA testing.

i got cheating submissions since the first day of opening after about hmm a year of putting up with multiple identities i was forced to go to partner accounts only i give anyone a partner account on on the basis they know how to send a email and it really helps out alot to weed out the multiple submissions just based on there template email messages they use. i think the finale day i decided to go password protected was when i got over 500 submits in the past 24 hours..........

now if i have a person that constantly requests partner accounts and doesnt stop after sending out my ban email list im posting there info in the cheater section of this board and find out all there domains to add to my big personal ban list. i am really starting to get a big problem with cheaters that are pressitant.

This is one of the reasons I moved findpics to a limited submissions per day per hour overall. I am finding that most of the multiple submitters have already given up in the last two weeks, and it really has improved my ratios of accepted sites. I am now accepting close to 60% of submissions each day, which is a huge improvement over the 20-30% I was accepting before.

Partner accounts are in the future as well. I am looking to set up a system to accept a limited number of "open" submits, and the rest would be through partner accounts. I want to get the acceptance levels up to about 90%, then I know I will really have accomplished something.

Wouldnt someone using 300+ different IP's be able to get around that?

If your TGP submission script has a banned words / text element to it which goes off and reads the page in question on submission, then find the common element(s) and block them.

UW's right - there's usually something that's the same, and you can usually block it.

neticule, no, by pacing the submits over a 24 hour period, it is very hard for someone to get too many submits in. If I accept only 5 sites per hour, and they try to submit 300, they will fail. If they fail too often, they will remove me from their submit lists and move on somewhere else. Basically, I don't even provide a submit form for people when there are no submission spaces left.

This is total submits for everyone, not per person. It really changes the whole dynamics of the submit process.

I totally agree. I've been thinking a hybrid submit model is the way to go too.
Make all your regular good submitters partners and still allow "X" non-partner submits per hour to give newcomers and non-regulars a chance to submit too.

Wow guys, you are such a great help
He just bought some more new domains to keep me busy.... and it's only the second day. I used to send a confirmation email to the submitters but just stopped it. Hope this helps.

I don't exactly know.. 15.00 or so a month I think.
Just make sure you can tell the difference between a Shared host and a Regular host.
Takes a bit of time to Whois on a few domains, but you'll figure it out.

I need a tgp script installed first... I am using clickzs to track my outs in real time and make my toplist based on uniques and prod.
For submissions I am using a remotely hosted form by cutandpaste javascripts.. I know it is very basic but did a good job so far. It has limited features but I am lost when it comes to scripts and/or installation. Someone from this board has offered me help in the past but he's very busy.

Does anybody know of any good submit scripts where you can make all your regular good submitters partners and still allow non-partner submits (limited number per hour to avoid overflow of submits) to give newcomers and non-regulars a chance to submit too.

Do you have anything specific in mind that I could check out?

I have been looking for a script like that for my new TGP

Ah - sounds like a one by one job then unfortunately :-(( Although Dareutwo's Reverse IP could work well as long as their not spread out over multiple boxes / IPs.
