I need to know what you find lacking in the Blog script you are using and what type of plugins you would like to see added
or if you would describe the Perfect Blog script you would have built to maximize your bloging efforts.
One other thing what plugins do you think should be under development now to capitalize on future bloging trends?

I think Wordpress does what I need, so I'd not be looking to replace it. As for plugins, I've written my own where I couldn't find what I needed, as they are pretty simple to do.

yeah your post would have been usefull to me if you had mentioned what types of plugins you added and the difficulty of adding them, I took a look at your your wordpress link trade site (that is why you posted isn't it?) My thinking there is why paint your self into a box why would you limit trades to wordpress, if it weren't for moveable types $200 commercial license fee I'm sure most blogger here would would be useing MT and what if one of the new scripts out starts cutting in on WP's popularity

How about a loader prepackaged with a dozen or so of the best plugins for adult blogs, that simplified the process of picking out and installing the useful plugins.

A wysiwyg theme editor.

An auto updater.

You're quite right, these signiture things always make people question one's motives and lead to misunderstanding, so I'm getting rid of mine.

Now I've had a chance to think on this one a little here's what would be really good.
A blog where you don't need any html knowledge, that runs in a browser, and all operations are drag an drop, totaly intuative so that anyone can use it.

Maybe such already exists, but if not that would be the ideal blogging software.

Image Browser: This plugin adds an “Insert Image” button to the top right corner of the edit screen which opens an image browser to select from all previously uploaded images and add the appropriate code to the post.

since I added those plugins I've installed wordpress multiple times. the only real tool i found worth repeating was the image browser one.

Wordpress really does do everything i wanted it to do. I got a chance to try moveable type I found it confusing and i found wordpress was a much more intuitive system, but it was a long time ago when I tried moveable type

Excellent suggestions Bill I've been thinking about them most of the the day the auto updater was one of the first things thought of that part is done. I have to check with the brain to find out how much work would be involved, but I am thinking now that for a blog script to be way ahead of the pack adding a plugin should be no harder than adding a snipet, widget or changing a template.

Hey Wankmaster put your Sig back up, I came on a little heavy last night I was having a bad script instalation moment now I'm feeling shitty for not treating you as a brother becouse like you, I beleave in the Dump and there aren't many of us so we have to stick together. I still have the scripts for the worlds first atomatic blog and ping dumps I only unvailed my latina niche Dump, a product that got very little reponse on the board,(I was waiting for another event to happen befor launching my multy niche dump) I'm sure most thought I had Nutted Out, with my cockeyed statagie of feeding two blogs one blog to feed yahoo via RSS and one to feed MyMSN Group by email becouse MSN didn't have their RSS Agregaters yet, eventualy I started thinking maybe they knew something I didn't, and the reason for the lack of response was that they didn't want to risk being associated with my website when the search engines delisted me, rather than risk the rath of the search engines I put the two sites on the back burner and went on with webmastering and looking for something just a little different the fact that both sites got steady traffic puzzled me a little and I'll admit the search engine spidering was scary a couple months ago I decided to use the sites on mainstream surfers and cash in on some adsense money I discovered both sites were down with some kind of MYSQL error it only took a few minutes to find the problem, I just assumed that when there were no more sites or galleries going to my dumps they the bloging and pinging would stop, like a dummy I didn't realy think the script out, I knew the 15 minute pinging intervals were managed by cron jobs. I had been feeding the same two websites to my blogs and piinging every 15 minuts, it took my mail boxes getting full to shut her down. Holly shit didn't mean to write a book just ment to give you some incouragement Wankmaster and share a couple lessons I learned,
1, If I had debued my muti niche dump first the scenario I just described would have had a different outcome, When your thinking outside the box like your doing keep all options open.
2, If it's not happening as fast as you want don't get discouraged or give up becouse your probable thinking outside everyones comfort zone be patient and they will catch up.

I tested every WSWG I could find in my quest to compeate with the page generaters. There is one webased website builder with potential that has been out for several months he launched it before he should have it's WSWG has built in RSS Feed and reader, google site mape generater, SPELL CHECK, It should have been free when I got it becouse it had a long way to go. I saw enough potential in it at the time to not ask for my money back and give the guy a shot at makeing it work the way he envisioned, I got an email friday with the newest files and I went to his forum today it looks like he's got a couple bugs to work out but it's a way to build some pages in record time it was going to be my secrete free site maker but what the hell I'm in a shareing mood give it a couple days and let someone else beta test it then you guys can play with it

Don't worry bout the sig thing. It wasn't just your response, I've been thinking of ditching em anyway, I'll be getting rid of them on other boards to. Personal decision, enuff said. I may keep a link back to my joke site on one of the boards, just cos I've always had that.

Some of the above post went over my head, I don't totally understand all this stuff, I just hack out a few scripts now and then when I need them for myself, and then share them with others if they want them. Strange enuff, my anti hotlink script got a user yesterday ( first one I think ) as a guy said he'd stumbled accross it. Pretty gratifying as he said it was the first one he'd found that actually worked!. I don't try to publcize it anymore, as I don't see the point.

I'm surprised no one has done a WYSWIG html-less editor to run in IE and Firefox. The user could just drop in photos and then drag and resize em on the screen. Same with paragraphs of text. I think this is doable using only javascript, and then storing the actual pages on the server with PHP/mySQL. This would mean average Joe could build a website, or by extension a blog with about zero knowledge.

I look forward to seeing what this guy has come up with, but I don't mind if you use it for a while before you tell anyone, you can have a head start.

I'd be interested to see what stuff you come up with also. I'm always checking the boards, so I'll be sure not to miss it.

Bill the latina link dump was www.hot-latina-links.com that url passed a mainstream niche market test that I picked up from a page generater teleconference I listened in on, so it's days of adult are over. As it sits right now I used a couple of Joel Comm's Adsense techniques and it makes a steady $1.5 a day with under 50 visitors a day
