Please review my 3rd Free Site

I've completed my third free-site now. All was going well until I somehow fucked up the template in dreamweaver and it ruined it so I had to spend an hour and a half fixing it. But its done now. I think I should be able to do the next one in three hours (fingers crossed).

As im still a bit new to whole thing I'm still up for sone of the great advice that you guys can give

From today onwards I'm going to be making atleast one free site everyday (and maybe a couple of galleries) and if I dont you can all give me a good kicking for been a lazy bastard.

Nice FS! There is room for improvement, though. A few things I noticed were:

1. Background color/text color combo on index might be difficult for some people to read.
2. Some LLs might have a problem with the thumbs on the HPA on the main page.
3. Promoting four different sponsors on the same FS is spreading it a little too thin IMO.
4. The mouseover on the AFF banner says Oliver's Girls.
5. Pics are a little too heavy. Try to get them down to the 40-60k range.

Changes made:

1. Background colour is now a very faint green.

2. Changed the yellow text to red to make it more readable.

3. Got rid of the thumbs on the HPA.

4. Changed mouseover on AFF banner.

I'm not promoting 4 sponsers it is 3 as Heathers Hot Spot is a feeder site to Olivers Girls.

Any more opinions???

Dude, those girls are hot, if I was surfing your site, I'd like to see a banner promoting your sponsor that showed the faces of a whole bunch of girls from the site, so I'd want to click and see more of those hotties.

Your Heather's banner on main page is totally blind (pic linked to sponsor) and would get declined at most link list.

Also.. these are friendly advices but thse things shouldnt affect your listings at LL

I suggest creating folder at root of domain and place there all free sites - when you got 5 sites in the root of domain is ok, but later it becomes pain in the ass.. such mess in the root domain.. there definately will come hub pages and so on..

It's also possible that owner of oliversgirls.com won't be happy when you advertise other sponsors with his conent.. some sponsors don't mind but better ask now or you may lost piece of cash in future...

I did not think it was blind as it was at all - there were no thumbs on it. However to play it safe I have changed it a little more to make it look more like an advert

I would normally do the folder idea but this site will only have a max of 20-30 freesites.

I have taken the AFF banner of the gallery page and put it on index. So now only Olivers adverts are with the content.

I'm thinking you may have problems with a few link lists that don't like ads in the middle of the thumbs. Not sure about that though.

I'd list it as is. I've even got a bikini category http://freepicssex.com/bikini-babes.html

I was just building a submition database and added your site

I'll be submitting in an hour or two once I have made the full database.

I have heard about the ads in the middle thing - What are LL owners views on this and why dont they like it?? Will i not get listed because of it?

I got an answer from Panky on Netpond:

Center ads: The reasoning behind sites not liking center ads on galleries is because the content is the main focus of a gallery, not advertising. When people use center ads, the ad distracts the surfer from the content. Some reviewers do not like this because their focus is on the content. The amount of content a site has to offer is partly what helps to increase bookmarkers for a site. Bookmarkers are money to a site. If sites continually list galleries where the advertising seems to be the main focus, such as the use of center ads, they run the risk of losing bookmarkers and/or the rate of bookmarking declines.

Always remember that the main focus of a reviewer is the content on the page. Reviewers care about advertising in a sense that they don't want false advertising or links that mess with surfers, but if your content is not the main focus of your gallery, you will get listed at a lot less places.

Content is also what sells the surfer. Surfers are not going to click an ad just because it is there. Surfers visit galleries for the content. If you can not sell them on your content, you will not sell them on your advertising. Content and advertising must work together to sell a surfer.

yep - but at the end of the day we have to follow thier rules - however the center ads is being picky and as long as not too many LLs reject it I won't be changing it and wont submit to those LLs that reject my site for that sort of thing.

To me my ad is in a good place and you can easily see and focus on the content.
