PR5 Index Page hard links for trade

I'm developing the "interior" of webrotica.com which until recently was a one page (adult) site, so I'm looking for good quality direct links into the initial inside sections/pages.

For a small number of really good hard links in, we can give a text or button link on the front page (which has PR5 if that's important to you) as well as reciprocating the link.

Something that looks like it's working well for people with several niches is for us to link to you from the relevant "fresh daily porn" niches and in return you link to our relevant "porn directory" niches. We'll do those kind of indirect trades with any decent, relevant site(s) - a really good grouping of these will get a front page link too.

We really want to keep the number of front page links to a minimum, so we are looking for "above and beyond" the norm trades to earn one of those, so I hope we don't offend anyone with refusals

Hope that's explained the situation, PM me with questions/offers.

Thanks and Regards

I realise that PR may be a contentious issue - to some people it's all that matters, others quote Google folks as saying PR is "only for a laugh" (my paraphrase).

But if my Google toolbar says it's PR5 and my Firefox addin says it's PR5 ... what is it?

I've read on other forums about people manipulating PR but I didn't even understand how they were saying it was done, let alone try it myself. So - there have been no tricks, redirects, DNS manipulation on my part on this domain which I've owned for a while.

So, why do you say it isn't actually PR5?

Thanks

Well, I guessed that was what the other "Ron" was insinuating.

Problem is ... I'm not knowingly or deliberately doing anything to "pull" PR from another site. In fact, I'm developing an inferiority complex over this, because I don't actually know how to do that.

I've done some background reading in domain forums on PR manipulation, and anything I've read there about doing it with technical redirects is beyond my capabilities ... and ethics I should add.

So ... unless someone can demonstrate what they say is happening here and there's something I can do to fix it - make your own mind up on the value or otherwise of that front page link. In practice, most of the people who have traded with me seem most to have most appreciated non-direct link trades between niche categories, so I'll continue to welcome those on their own merits.

OK - this is getting out of hand.

I've just had PM from someone referring to me as "that guy doing the redirect" and (in the nicest possible way) saying I should "take that redirect down".

Let's make this really easy.

I'm not doing a redirect.
I don't know how to.
I've owned the domain in question for ages and it has always been a regular virtual domain on one of my dedicated servers. Never redirected to another domain (or vice versa) or anything else "irregular" as far as I'm aware.
If there is anything funny going on, I don't know what or how. And no-one seems able or willing to tell me what they think it is.

So ... ignore any reference to the PR on the front page, or links on it. That's off the table. If you have traded with me on that basis and want to change the deal - I'll do whatever is in my power to re-jig the trade. If you want to trade direct or non-direct niche or category links on internal pages on their own merits regardless of any PR issues ... just let me know.

If anyone contacts me on the matter, please be aware I'll be away the next 2 days so non-immediate replies are due to absence, nothing else.

Should have known this would all turn out crazy ...

And Lord, we are especially thankful for nuclear power, the cleanest, safest
energy source there is. Except for solar, which is just a pipe dream
