![]() Anyone ever linked to this site before? I had linked to them about a year ago, but after I saw this thread, I never will again. Can't believe someone in the business would do something like this.

I got this email from the editor of fleshbot:
"we're just letting people know what's out there, and sites like Fusker aren't going away - we'd be happy to print your side of the story as an update to the post if you'd care to send us something." I replied that Warez sites are out there also, and asked him if he was planning to start linking to them. Anyone who cares to reply can email him editor@fleshbot.com |

fleshbot is a great site, honestly. I dont think many people that have found fleshbot havent found fusker yet. Do a little math.
I know alexa doesnt mean a lot but lets compare traffic stats there anyways: fleshbot: 4,769th most popular site on the web Fusker.lewww.com 5,483rd and that's just one of about 100 sites using fusker software to rip stuff. If anything mentioning fusker will get fleshbot more hits than the other way around. Truth of the matter is fusker was probably stoppable at one point back in say, 2000? 2001? but everyone turned a blind eye and said "if you dont know .htaccess then you deserve the bandwidth theft" and fastforward to today and they are starting to step on the toes of even the large TGP's. dont blame fleshbot for that. not to mention these guys have several editors not just one and it sounds like one of their editors made a mistake. |

Aww, I never knew that. I've always liked Fleshbot. They linked my sites a few months ago and sent loads of traffic.

Upon a little further review I do agree that it was pretty irresponsible for whatever editor listed this at fleshbot and I hope he gets chastised for it or perhaps canned.
The fact that the article goes on to explain how to use fusker to obtain websites is, without question, disturbing. Not to mention fleshbot has/had also posted in the past 'empornium' the worst bit torrent porn sharing site on the internet. It makes previous attempts at stealing porn look childish: http://fleshbot.com/sex/straight/fou...ack-028072.php I got an account when my firend told me about it so I can let sponsors know when i see their site rips up there. The sponsors didnt seem to care and so I stopped carring but... lets see who is up there today: Site Rips on Empornium Today: Extreme Holly Danni Ash's Site Photos Trixieteen haleemodel nextdoornikki mattsmodels inbedwithfaith ideepthroat.com and that's just the first page of searching for 'site rip'. linking to this site was likewise irresponsible. But now what? Do blogs and sites have to pretend these places dont exist? The owners dont seem to give a shit I've gotten in email letter and read on boards that "the people who are going to steal it are going to steal it" and "i brand my content so they know where to come get more" time and time again. so why shit all over fleshbot when in reality the people who are making 8 figures a year really dont give a shit if they lose a million or two to fusker or empornium. its hard to get worked up about this any more and I've tried and tried to help people get worked up about it since say, oh, 1998. |

Boogie the point is that Fleshbot charges paysites money to advertise on their site. We paid them $200 a little while back for a text ad (which was a complete waste of money, by the way).
Don't you think it's a little bit rude for that company to charge paysites money for advertising and then post information that will help surfers illegally steal content and hack passwords? It's irresponsible, and it's a big "fuck you" in the face to their advertisers. Fleshbot do send a lot of traffic and it's great when they link to people. But at what cost? A couple of months ago there was an issue with Adbrite being advertised on Fusker sites. This has a similar ring to it.
