So, this guy shows up last week

A guy from our old fuel oil company shows up last week claiming we owed him $505. My wife answered the door and said, give me the bill and I will give it to my husband. He said he had just sold the business and had to keep the bill so Vickie said, get off the porch or she would let the dogs out. I was sure we took care of them before we moved out but I though, I could be wrong.

Yesterday I saw a story about the guy on the local news. Here is the story from our local paper.

My wife called the state troopers when she saw the story. So now we have a trooper coming over for a statement. They say since he was doing it last week, he knew something was up and he was trying to get as much money as he could.

And yes, most of these people are elderly. And with the prices of fuel oil this year, a lot of them have no heat.

This could have easily happyed to me if I was still living in my last house. I used to pre-pay them for the entire winter so I wouldn't have to worry.
