New Site, Technical Questions, and advice needed

Dear all,

I am really new to being a webmaster and teaching myself as I go along. I put my first site up about 10 days ago, please visit and give me your comments. www.sexyethnic.com . But I have a few questions:

How do you like the layout of my site?
Am I doing the right thing by building my site like this, I intend to keep adding new galleries with new links and some new sponsors, I want to post a page at least every other day and go into more niches. Is this the right way to go to make money?

How much money can I expect to make in say 1 year if I keep going as I am?

Currently the hits are really low and click rate is also extremely low to me. 1:75 ratio is where I am at, with just 50 hits a day, the last couple of days I have seen it growing but realize I need a lot more hits to really get anything moving.

How many hits a day should I expect after a month?

This bit has really got me confused – how do i “force hits”, how do I write a script for that?

I intend to work hard on this and intend to make money, so am not afraid of the hard work, but curious about what I should expect for the future of this project. I do also have another domain name I am holding onto which will go into a different direction, but feel I need to focus all my energy on this site and it’s continued extension for now.

Any advice that can be given will be greatly appreciated.

This is probably going to sound rougher then I intend it to, but somebody pissed in my cornflakes today and my mouth still tastes like pee, so keep that in mind as you read this reply.

Looks generic. Like a million other fake tgp/mpg hubs.

Bang up job on this page: http://www.sexyethnic.com/blacks.htm
That should convert well.

No. It's a fake tgp/mpg. With no inbound traffic from galleries, purchased traffic, link trades where is your traffic going to come from? Search engines? Good luck with that.

And my own experience, confirmed by a few others, fake tgp's don't really convert that well anyways, you'll need a ton of traffic to make sales.

None.

If you are getting 50 hits a day, that is probably what you can expect.

Force hits?

You could be building galleries/free-sites on that domain and submit them to other places and place a link back to your root on each of the pages to try to capture some other lists traffic and hoepfully increase your SE placement. Is that what you mean by forcing hits?

Even if you do that, it won't work as well as it used to.

Honestly, if you intend to work hard and expect decent money, forget about porn and move over to mainstream.

Good luck with whatever direction you choose.

Haven't given up.

Thanks for your comments Preacher, no offense was taken and i do hope the cornflakes are ok now!

Not sure if you have checked back on my site but i have been continuing to build it and plan on branching out to the other niches shortly (there is obviously still some tidying up to be done on what i have so far).

Hits are up to 400 a day, still low i know.

When you say "fake", what exactly do you mean? I noticed on you site you have put together many links, and by the looks of it a lot of work went into it. My vision is to do a similar thing, but using pictures (more stimulating) as well as link lists.

question if i may ask - where does most of your traffic come from and what kind of traffic numbers do you get? I am just interested in ball park figure to give me an idea of what i need to be seeing on my site.

I would also like to hear responses from other webmasters to see if there are differing opinions.

thanks all.

My suggestion would actually be to work with only one niche for the time being with your site design. Focus on that niche, there is always something to be done to it. You'll get to know traffic streams better and determine what works and what doesn't before you have multiple niches to play with. Even if you keep all the other niche pages up, I'd still put most of your effort into the niche you know best or would like to market first.

Actually that's not bad for a new fake tgp, but I don't even look at hits. Look at visits, hits are not a valid indicator of how many people are visiting your site, because one visit to my site can rack up like 40 or more hits.

Don't look at my linklist for an example, it's a completely different beast. This is a fake tgp: http://www.depravedcumplay.com/

I can pick on it because it is my own. Why a fake tgp, because it's easy for me to set up on ther root of a domain and just sit there until I have the time to make it into something worthwhile. When I do upgrade it, the root will already be indexed by the search engines and I will already have an existing traffic flow to the new property I place on it.

A fake TGP just means that it is a thumbnail gallery but only filled with sponsor galleries. A real tgp would take submissions.

As for a thumbnail linklist, well I've heard that idea a couple of times. I have some personal issues with the idea so I don't think I would ever run one, but I don't want to step on other peoples toes.

Depends. Some traffic I get from hardlink trades, some from search engines and for the linklist in particular some from the reciprical links on the freesites. Each porn medium is a different beast. My blog traffic is different then my linklist traffic which is different then my fake tgp traffic.

As for numbers, you'll find most webmasters aren't really open about their traffic numbers, it's just part of the game we play. Stick around, gain some reputation as a trustable partner/submitter/webmaster and you'll find people will open up about things like traffic numbers and income a little more.

If you really want to do this, then great. It has to be something you love and will stick with. Honestly, there's a ton of competition out their right now, some legitimate and some scammers. It will take some time to get a large enough network to see a good income. So if you are just in this for the money, that's why I would recommend mainstream. But if you are in this for the love of it, then by all means stick with it and give it a go.

Read EVERYTHING you can. Learn how to acquire traffic, make sales, and what the different mediums are for all of those things. No one wants to just hand you the knowledge of any of those things, they'd prefer you had enough interest to do the research yourself. And there is nothing I can tell you that can't be found somewhere on this board in one thread or another.

Good luck, and when you get things rock solid, no broken pages, clean links and a steady (not huge) traffic, hit me up and maybe we can trade some links.

Good luck,

Preacher
