It doesn't get anymore exciting then adding a movie of my feet in the sand taken with my cell phone.

I'm using the vPIP plugin, it allows you to play the movie clip inside your post. Only problem that I've encountered so far is that it doesn't seem to do so well when someone is using your feed on their own blog.
Make sure you download the correct version of the plugin ![]() Some examples can be seen on the blog in my sig. |

I just did an embed of the code but I've noticed that movies don't show up in rss feeds.
Code:
<embed align="right" height="160" src="http://cleoslinks.com/blogpics/beach-7-18-06.mpg" type="video/mpeg" width="176" autostart="true" controls="console" autoplay="true" controller="true" cache="true"> |

I agree with Fonz, vPIP is the best plugin I've found for doing this but it won't play the video in a post for someone who is using the feed....unless they're smart as the Walrus and add the plugin to their feed blog.
But without the plugin, the feed blog should simply do it the old fashioned way and download it to video player. |

I wonder if we can persuade The Smart Walrus (new nic?) to share a quick outline of how to add the vPIP plugin to the feed. I do use vPIP on my blog pages already, but I didn't know I could make it work for someone using my feed too.

I wish there was a way to make the "autostart" function trigger only when the video is scrolled into view. It's great when the video is the first post on the page, but in a day or so when it's off-screen it can autostart and be playing while someone is still on your first post.

And I think the smart walrus means that if everybody else would install the vPIP plugin when they use feeds from other blogs there would be no problem. With sites that have the plugin installed other people's feeds work fine. But then again, I'm not as smart as the walrus ![]() |

I have been using www.pornotube.com for all my videos, saves a lot of bandwidth expenses and they barely put any watermark on the videos

Internet! Is that thing still around?
|
if you use the embed code and set autostart to false, then the vid clip shouldn't play unless the viewer clicks it, correct?

Yes, autostart="false" means the surfer has to click first.
I mostly use vPIP which makes them click first, and when I don't use vPIP, I set autostart to "false" because of the very reason I mentioned. I just wish there was some kind of 'onvisible' type control for the autostart function so I could make the videos only begin running when they're in view on the screen.
