New Webby says hi (and wonders whats wrong with his site)

I am new to the board and would like to say hi to everybody.
I am really suprised how helpful and especially patient everybody here is. Cant say that from the mainstream world )

Of course i have questions about my freesites:
http://www.pearls-on-strings.com/sub...e_Skye_090806/
(which is the first one I ever made) gets listed only on some LL, even if I tried to comply to all the rules.

I did some redesign with my new site, to make it look a little less 80's (errrr...) http://www.pearls-on-strings.com/submitts/faith_bell/

do you like that one better?

Thanks in advance for your comments and time!

I don't see a title on your index page, a title on the page itself that is.
And "Faith Belle makes your knob hard" is not a good title anyway. First of all you don't know if she's going to make my knob hard and second it's 6 words which is way too long for a title.
(yes I rejected it for that call me whatever you want )

Your sponsor links "...you'll meet here!" might be cosidered blind links since the surfer doesn't know where he's going. "You'll meet me at blablabla.com" would be better.

Your sponsor links open in new windows which is a big NO at most LL's

There ya go

Oh, and welcome to the board

Unless your intention is to entice surfers who look for girls who can't spell that well, you might want to change this:
in my undeas as a model and on my privat webcam

to this:
in my undies as a model and on my private webcam

Of course, maybe you really meant to do it that way.

You image file sizes all seem to be hovering above 200kb. See if you can knock their weight down a bit without mussing with the visual quality. Sometimes you can split that in half without noticing a difference - other times they shit themselves during optimization.

The weight will vary from list to list, as all things do. I know some have set a cap of 80k per image. I'm not sure of how many people really look that closely at it though. I don't typically check it, but they loaded noticeably slow. I don't spend much time concering myself about dial-up users, though we are supposed to. I have an acknowledged jealous hatred towards anyone who can afford to live out in less rural areas where broadband isn't available. If I'm forced to live in this little city - fuck those who don't!

oh, i have heard that dirty undies (or dirty undeas in my case) is a great place. i promise i stick my nose in, the next time i pass by.

but you are right. one should think about the dial up's.
we got 16Mbit here a couple of month ago and that spoils you faster then you can say "undeas"

Don't use the word "young". That'll probably get you declined at many LL.

The recip text looked kind of small and at least one was not the right recip, on the index page. Regular sized banners, like 480x80 or so, suck for getting clicks. Also I would'nt spell out the sponsor url completely, they surfer could just type it in and bypass you getting credit for sales.

I would work on getting the thumbs down to around 8-10k max - 50k for a thumb is way too much and will eat your bandwidth way too fast

I would also look into getting some sort of virtual hosting with someone other than your ISP (I may be wrong but isnt it still illegal to do adult stuff on german isps?)

And last - but probably most important - while your site would be great for the surfers - quick easy access to the pics - remember the whole point of bothering to make these sites is to SELL!!!! Use the three advertising spots you are allowed on each page and keep in mind youve got about 6 seconds to sell to the surfer - so work on doing that well

thanks, amici for your advices!

@ Buncha: didnt know that one. will keep that in mind.

@ ronnie: do you remember which one was wrong? i actually checked them all by hand, but then, sometimes it's getting late and, well you know

@ linkster: actually the story with the german isp's is a little diffuse at the moment. some laws are changing (thats at least what my lawyer said) but i will consider what you said.
your last point is what makes me more of headache. but we are here to learn, arent we?

again thanks for your friendly help.
