feed: does it stay or go
I've been snagging feeds for awhile now and am seeing about a third of the Wordpress blogs have left "feed:" in their footers.
I get an error using firefox and the feeds in the Wordpress headers don't show feed: So am I right feed: needs to be removed? does it mater?
Entries (RSS) shouldn't the feed: be removed
Entries (RSS)

I noticed that in the themes of some of my blogs as well. feed:http://... definitely doesn't work so I just hardcoded the correct feed url.

You might want to try feedburner:
http://www.feedburner.com/ It solves all the problems that surfers might have with adding your rss feed to their rss feed reader. |

For aggregating you need to leave the "feed:" part of the URL out. If a surfer clicks on the link with the "feed:" at the front it should try to launch his desktop feed reader.
