Review Needed

I've been building free sites for five years and only had marginal success. Seven weeks ago I got a new domain and have 41 sites built, submitted and listed. With mirrors there is close to 300 sites. I'm getting listed at LOR, HOES, PenisBot, Smut Gremlins, Richard's Realm, and most of the other link lists listed in the Get Traffic area at GG&J's. My traffic has gone up from around 1,500 hits/day to close to 7,000 hits/day. I'm getting maybe 6 sales/month which sucks. I think I build good sites but evidently there's something I'm missing. If I post some URL's here I'll have 30 non porn buyin' curious webmasters burning up my BW taking a look and only get a few replies. I need someone that is willing to look at some of my sites and tell me what needs to be changed, fixed, modified, etc. Any willing to help?

From my experience the bandwidth you will 'burn up' by posting links here will be paid back by far with the great advice those few webmasters will give you. If you’re getting 7000 hits a day are those few hundred extra really going to make a big dent in your bandwidth.

I hate to tell you but you need more of everything without even looking at your sites, like more sites, more time to draw se traffic and more uniques...

free sites dont convert like they did 5 years ago and not even 2 years ago. sure you can get lucky and find a program with a unique pay site that will convert at 1/200 but it takes time to find those programs that work well for you...

also a lot of webmasters are seeing shitty ratios right now so my advise to you is keep building and try other programs and throw in some rev share and hang in there cause about the 2nd week in jan sales start rocking for me they do anyway

old free sites I have that get decent se traffic just are not selling the last month and a half BUT they do run in cycles, so at any time they will pick up...

so as hard as it is when no sales are to be found is to keep building and trying other programs and traffic sources, and ask for help and you came to the right place...

also I dont think that this board gets that many surfers to raise you BW bil that high, and dont fuck yourself with a crazy low limit and have your host turn you off and loose all your listings...

I noticed a bit of a slump too, looked at my stats and thought geez, my traffic keeps going up steadily but sales aren't, what's going on?? I was reading another thread and Unified Stats popped up, so I re-installed it as I had it before but haven't used it in a while. Well, I found out what my problem was - I'm sending tons of traffic, sure, but it's so spread out right now that I'm sending 200 hits here, 500 there, etc. I'm making sales with an ok ratio, but I don't have enough going there every day to make the sales I want to. Now this may seem pretty elementary, but I was kind of missing the trees for the forest if you know what I mean

It was a real eye opener, because I could see sponsors that I've been sending just a bit of traffic converting better than ones I'm sending tons to, so it's given me a bit of a direction to go in.

Don't look at the total amount of traffic coming in and going out, look at exactly where it's going, maybe that will tell you some things. Basically, I needed to step back a bit and see what was really going on with my traffic instead of just seeing the big numbers.

Also, when you start to branch out with new sponsors and sites, or maybe switching to some revshare, you're going to see a drop in sales for that exact reason - you've still got the big traffic but you're thinning out where it goes. That's why it's so important to keep building, even when it seems like you're going nowhere.

Are you getting any search engine traffic from your free sites? I've noticed from the sites you submit that you don't seem to put much effort into seo. It does not take a lot of time to find relevant keywords to your images and write a little relevant text. By doing so, you will keep getting targeted traffic to your sites long after the traffic rush from link lists. Aside from that follow the advice you have been given so far and you should see some improvements.

I noticed I was doing that too so I started concentrating on three sponsors to get the numbers up more quickly. I was promoting 6-8 sponsors and with a conversion ration of 1:250 or so it was taking forever to get enough hits to each sponsor to get to 250.

All I know to do is to put relevant keywords on the page. If the site title is "Wives Getting Fucked", I put "wives getting fucked" as one of my meta keywords and try to use it in a sentance on the page and in a text link. I've heard if you use the same keyword too many times you get penalized by SE's. I also try to use similar keywords/phrases like "housewives getting fucked" somewhere on the page. Not sure what else to do...
