Some help with this site

My wife and I only run a couple of adult related sites and this one needs some help. We've been running it for over a year now, it's got a PR3 amazingly and it's just a list of links the wife updates every day linking to various affiliates we have made. I had a few questions I was hoping someone more experienced would have time to help us with:

- Does this type of site even work for bringing in revenue? I read about link lists sites, is that what this is?

- Does the layout not work for trying to bring in revenue? What stands out as a negative for us?

- Are the affiliates we've made known to be good? AEBN, VideoZ, TrafficCashGold and NastyDollars are the ones we promote most using an assortment of their offerings trying to mix it up. We've recieved money from them all, just making sure we're not missing something.

We'd of course like to bring in more revenue, but the traffic levels are what we need to work on. Before I aimed in that direction, I wanted to see if I could get any pointers and opinions on what the pro's thought. Perhaps a domain name change? Remove some of the affiliate banners/blocks? Just whatever ideas some of you may have, we would appreciate greatly. The site is:

As a bonus question, are there any recommendations on where to build link trades with others or how to build our traffic?

Since You don't accept free sites from other webmasters but only Your own links to sponsor programs(what You call affiliates) it is not a link list but a hub.

You could build some free sites (warning, main and 2 gallery pages) and submit them to some link lists. You can do this with free content from the sponsor, this approach requires that most of Your ads are for this sponsor, but You can have 1 or 2 ads for Your hub. Or You can buy some content and make it all about Your hub, or mostly about Your hub with 1 or 2 ads to a sponsor. You can also use purchased content for promoting only a sponsor and not Your hub but then You wont get any traffic benefits to Your hub.

Your site kinda looks like a fake link list, You could go the way of making it into a real link list, this way means a loooot of work and a lot of time spent revewing other peoples sites, it also means a lot of traffic "leaking" to other webmasters. On the good side it means more traffic and links to Your site because You will get webmaster submitting their free sites to You LL in exchange for a link back to Your site on each and every site they build and submit to You.

Thats all I have for now, I am sure someone else will pick up on the points I didn't mention.

I am a bit of a newb myself still, so there is probably better people to help You out there anyway

Wow, thank you for the information! I've thought of setting up galleries using content provided but always get torn between making the galleries and hoping someone clicks the banner, or just linking the gallery on the aff. site as we do now. I see what you are saying though, with those galleries we build we can submit them to real link lists and build more traffic that way.

When You build galleries and/or free sites (2 very different things), be sure to read and follow the rules of each and every tgp and link list.(You submit galleries to Tgp's and free sites to Link lists) Galleries are generally for short term traffic and free sites for long term traffic. You can see my 2 link lists in my sig, I dont accept galleries on them, just free sites (though I get a lot of gallery submissions anyway by people who don't read the rules).

If You don't follow the rules when submitting You risk being banned, and this something You don't want happening because webmasters are like a nitting group... we chat and gossip

I think I'm getting it and I'm thinking building my own galleries is the new direction I should look into. Lemme see if this is right:

Building say Lesbian galleries, you can submit those to TGP's. When I get enough of them built, I can build a whole site named say "HotLesbiansSuckingPussies.com" and that will then become a Free Site that I can list at link list sites.

Sorry to sound so new, I have to figure something out here. I'm not new to building websites, we actually run about 20 clean sites, they just don't pay for shit and we're looking into this area. Porn isn't a new area, the wife has been in the industry and we've been running this site for a while now, we're just now wondering if and how we can get it to pay off a bit more than $30 once every few months.

Thanks again for the help! I'm off to look into building some galleries.

That is not exactly correct. "HotLesbiansSuckingPussies.com" would be a hub, not a free site. a free site is "warning page, main page and 2 gallery pages" here is an example of 1 of my free sites:

Kinky Teen Sex

A hub is used for pretty much gathering up everything you have, "HotLesbiansSuckingPussies.com" would be a lesbian hub, "teenwankers.com" would be a teen hub and "pornaholics.com" could be a all round hub for all the porn stuff you have to be listed at, including your other hubs.

It might bring in some revenue if you had traffic. Xallow hit the nail on the head, that is a hub (which is not a bad thing). A linklist would generally take webmaster submissions, and would have category pages for each niche that webmaster chooses to list. (ie. anal, amateur, blondes, big tits, ebony, etc..) This will give you more targeted traffic to those pages. Generally, as Xallow said, most linklists take freesites. Some like my linklist will list freesites, pic galleries, video galleries, blogs.

To me, what stands out is it's not niched. Everything is all grouped together on the one page. That doesn't mean it can't make money, but It could be rather difficult getting targeted traffic to it (search engine wise). As you have probably already heard, targeted search engine traffic converts better than other types.

Some ideas for building traffic to your hub could be, submitting freesites and putting a linkback to your hub on each or gallery pages that would count as 1 of your 3 max allowed outgoing links. This won't flood your site with traffic, but with enough freesites listed it would start adding up. You could make link trades here on GG&Jim with other webmaster, in the Link Trades section. You could search out other link partners elsewhere. You could possibly start a blog and link back to your hub. I don't do TGP, so I can't really talk about that.

You could also turn that hub into a real linklist as Xallow mentioned, which would probably be my choice, but it is a lot of work for sure. Hope that helps out some.

This page would sell like crazy seven years ago but today it won't unless you drive some traffic to it. And I mean several thousand unique visitors per day.

On more technical side, try not to use iframes in your pages because search engines do not "like" those.

Otherwise it looks good.

Others have a point that this business is only about hard work and honesty. Work your way up, build every day, get to know people on this board. Read a lot about free site and gallery making, follow the rules, make some funds available for promotion, submit passes, good hosting etc.
