Question about WP-Autoblog
I'm trying to figure out if this is possible with Autoblog, or any other auto-feed plugin...
I noticed in WPAutoblog, you simply import an RSS feed and it makes posts in your blog. As some have noted, it places things in categories or sometimes creates categories. What i would like to do is to import the posts from the RSS feed, but not have them "published" right away, so that I can delete the ones I dont want, change the categories, and most likely add my own content to the postings. Does anyone know of a plugin that is some type of hybrid syndcation tool? |confused| |

I don't know of any type of plugin that will do that, although there seems to be plugins that do almost everything else. So it wouldn't surprise me if there was one.
I use RSS Bandit to read the feed and turn it into HTML and then I edit it in Dreamweaver. If your using WP2.1, I've been told that the future post problem has been fixed in it so you could then copy the HTML into a post and schedule it to post whenever you like. If your using any version earlier than that, then you will need a third party program to post for you. Since I already had Blog Organizer, it made it possible to schedule everything in and I still get pings when I should. |

Walrus,
Thanks, that's an interesting concept I haven't thought of... using a regular rss reader to go through the different feeds. I'm not too concerned about the "future post" problem as I mainly plan to use this simply on days I just don't have time to fully write my own post, or when I'm stumped and need to look through several items to get an idea ![]() |
