Good morning world
I was up about the same time (4:30) and for no good reason either. Let the cats out to play and made some coffee. Now time to catch up on some board threads and figure out what to do about Ike depending on what today's projections are showing. Wishing everyone a good football Sunday if you care about those things, otherwise you can enjoy a day with more time to do other things.

Good Morning,
I just got up (3.am here) but that's nothing unusual. I have a bit of outside work once the Sun comes up, and then watch some football. Otherwise nothing going on, I just have a hard time concentrating on work and getting motivated, I think some of you know why. Oh well, life goes on..... Enjoy the day everyone. |

Another exciting fun filled day of fun in the sun and hurricane hell.
Ike is getting closer with its projected path to be passing south of us but just incase in turns a bit north going to duct tape our pets to the concrete walls while watching the barrage of senseless commercials as we get the crap scared out of us watching the local news channel. May or may not fill up our second 55 gal drum with gas and may or may not put the shutters up and may or may not take the satellite down and may or may not do anything at all. |

Morning ...
spent most of the afternoon hanging with my minions at the Palms. got home and attempted to unpack the 2nd bag from our half-assed trip back east but I gave up after I pulled out the 2nd NYU tee-shirt.  Leaving at 10 to do banking, pick up our copy of "SPORE", going to the swapmeet and maybe a new comic book store that just opened. I feel like i'm 53 with a 17 yr old lifestyle. Is anyone counting on how many times the word "Change" has been used this week by the Republicans?? I'm laughing because McBush says he's a maverick.  anyway.. hope everyone in the pending pathway of Ike hangs on .. and try to make some money today. You know that testosterone flows during football season!!  |

Morning all. As I said in the pound-off thread, we walked over to the scooter store and picked up our scooters yesterday.
It was a hot walk, but glad to have one again. I put almost 20k miles on two different Honda sprees in Hawaii, I love these things. Unfortunately, these scooters have bigger tires, and I have to relearn stopping, as I'm not tall enough to just put my feet straight down and touch the ground, have to lean it slightly, or wear some 4" heels, lol. I can only get tippy toes. My scooter is the one with the metal basket and the bag, which is full of eggplants I'm donating today for the poor to eat. Hope they like them, they all went ripe at once, I and I like eggplant, but not that much, lol. Today I go chair my meeting, then MadHatter and I have to do some form of exercise, then get some work done. Hoping we go play more bad mitten like yesterday that was a blast...although i'm having a hard time turning my head I'm a bit stiff. Good luck Simon and Cleo as far as Ike's path.
