Feeding traffic to blogs

First off hello, my first post here.

I would like to know if sending skimmed traffic to a quality blog(s) from my TGP/MGP would be worth it. Or is that type of traffic not interested in reading blog posts or simply not used to the format.

Other than building up links to get search engine traffic, what are some ways to get traffic to blogs for potential bookmarkers.

You can submit to blog directories and some linklists for additional traffic. Sometimes I'll throw a link to a blog on a freesite. Linkdumps will send you minimal hits. But I don't think I'd send tgp traffic to a quality blog.

you can also create feeder blogs using sponsor feeds that link to your quality sites.

welcome to GG&J

Thanks Bob,
But just to clarify what a feeder blog is. Are you talking about a blog that is pretty generic with sponsor provided text and the like? Would these links help if they have little to no traffic and pagerank?

I'm also thinking of buying links from other blogs to get some quality inbound links. I read somewhere you should get links gradually, and not get, say 100 links, pointing to you all at once. I guess google like to see links building up slowly. What do you think about that?

I dont' do much with feeder blogs but I've heard others have had success with them. I do have a few setup on some sub-domains with sponsor feeds running and they do get a lil bit of traffic but not very productive.

i'm not big fan of splogs. All of my "blogs" except one are completely hand written and the one thats not is all sponsor feeds written by me anyways.

one way links are the best way to go. And I also believe in not getting 100 links up to your blog in one day. Add a couple at a time.

Thanks for the advice Bob. I'm just doing research right now, but will have some funds in a few months. I'll most likely take advantage of your blog building services when the time comes.

Very good advice. Google and MSN have algos that detect the rate at which links are added.
