My Fake TGP - Spatle.com
Not looking for accolades here but I though I might show you my fake TGP using WordPress. It uses the WP plugin CyberSEO Pro. This plugin allows me to use dumps and XML feeds to populate the site unattended. The rest is just the usual WP stuff to get it to look like a TGP. Not all the categories are filled as I just have a few sponsors so far. My goal was to make each post look like a traditional TGP page (while the front page has a different look and feel).
Spatle.com I am hoping to make 10s of dollars from this site.  |

Pretty danged good. From a TGP standpoint (individual posts), they look good, and I would certainly list them certainly on Hot 'N Dirty (link list takes everything). The individual pages do look enough like regular gallery pages that I would also use them on the TGPs. Holler if you want a PA.
My big objection to most WordPress based post is that the ads overwhelm the content. Yours is nicely balanced with just 3 outside ads and none of the other stuff that goes with a blog post (categories, related content, tag lists, etc)

If you want to make it real:
User submitted post + Custom Post Type UI plugins = users can post to custom post types, ie, you can have a TGP gallery type that users can populate - and you can still have a blog/news items on the site as well. |
