Flash Ads on Freesites?

Hello-
I was wondering if there was a general consensus on using flash ads on freesites?

I was thinking of placing 1 flash ad somewhere on a freesite, on either the main page or the gallery pages (it would be after the warning page). I would also set it up so if the user didnt have flash installed or it was turned off, it would display a regular graphic.

Would this be acceptable and allow me to get my sites listed?

Many places will not list you for a few reasons.

Flash banners are blind since they don't show the URL in the status bar and you can do some truly evil things with Flash just as you can with JAVA and JavaScript.

sigh...

I guessed that might be an answer, but I just wanted to be sure. Its frustrating when cheaters fuck up things for everyone else. Flash can be a great marketing too and the animation catches the viewers eye... *sigh*
