To LL owners...a plea

Make everyone's life easier and post the date when you last updated your rules and recips instead of just having a line saying you have new ones and leaving it up for months...

It takes long enough to submit to LLs as it is...one shouldn't need to have to check rules and reciprocals regularly to make sure nothing has changed. A simple date would alleviate a lot of stress on both parties.

Good Idea and easy enough to set up and maintain. Already changed the webmaster pages on Adult Gatekeeper. If you think of any other ways to make submissions simpler let me know.

mmmmm i know rules changing are always mention on the submitpage. i dont think its needed to post it on boards when rules are changed, if webmasters just check the submit page when they submit, then they will know it has been changed or not, but thats the problem, most submitting webmasters wont read the submit page or wont read their rejecting emails.just my 2cents

If it's too time consuming and too much trouble don't submit. I don't want autosubmits.

I suppose it's too time consuming to enter in the correct codes to the submit page too.

I didn't say anything about posting on the boards....just put a small blurb by the form stating when rules and recips were last update...I submit to many LLs and it'd take me longer to review rules/recips every time I submit than it would the actual submissions.

=P ...it's not that I don't mind going over the rules and recips....but when I have 98 LLs I submit to...checking the rules and recip codings for each one daily seems a bit impractical....as I'm sure it would to anyone else submitting regularly. It'd take a webmaster just a few seconds to post a last updated date and it benefits the LL owner just as much as it does the webmaster.

Of course it's up to each LL owner to decide what works best for them...I'm just stating something that should be considered by all to have on their submit pages.

ha oke my mistake, i misunderstood sorry!
I believe most lls have that, well at least the ones i submit to, if something is changed it will be on the page, i dont mind to read all the stuff, i am a hand submitter and i always check the submit page for changes, on my own LL i mention it which rule i have changed.

Findpics has a last updated date on the the rules.

Now if more than 20% of the submitters actually read them, I would have something!

I agree, and that's why I designed DragonList to have a simple webmaster page that clearly states whether the rules have been updated since the submitter's last login. Changes to the rules page are detected automatically.
</spam>

But it is amazing how many submitters fail to read the rules even if the most recent update date is clearly displayed. I'm sure I'm as guilty of this as anyone. A submitting frenzy tends to result in glazed eyes and a frazzled brain. Especially the dreaded "I've updated the recips again" - when you change your recips every five minutes, expect your submitters to become blind to the notices.

You are right but I don't understand you... I think we should all make our lifes easier...
You want people to read rules but I think all honest webmasters read them anyway... with "rules last updated..." text you help them not to overlook some rules/recip updates - those dumbasses who don't read rules would ignore them whenever you have this text or not.
I agree that is pretty annoying to check each LL rules every time I submit - and in matter of fact maybe 5% have such "last updated" notice...

I totally agree, honest webmaster WILL read each time they submit because honest webmasters are responsible webmasters. Which makes the whole topic of this thread moot.
