Question to webmasters that do cam girl sites, Docholly are you are around?

I've been wanting to add a Cam Girl category for some time and need to find out some info.

I know my min pic size is a problem, what size pics would I need to accept for this niche?

I worried about not getting enough free site submits so if you build free sites for this niche post here as I'm trying to get a feel of how many build for this niche. (NO SPONSORS IN THIS THREAD)

Seeing as I want to get this cat stocked fast I may even take some no recip clean sites in bulk if you have them.

In answer to your question: the standard cam shot size is 320x240 for most clarity on the cams. Standard archive pics from the live shows are that size. anything larger gets pixilated and or very very grainy.

If the girl uses crappy lighting it also takes away from the pics, and lets face it some of the true amateur girls really operate on a shoestring budget. As they make more money most of them invest in better equipment.

I have TONS of cam shots and access to tons more.. so, cleo if you want some just hit me up.. and we can crank out a few as well.. *have to brush up on my m/o coding..lmao*..

the one OTHER caveat in cam heaven is that unlike photo shoot, content shots, rarely are we able to produce 'series' pictures. Since most of the cam shots are taken during live shows and show up in archives, most girls do only 3-5 per day, as teaser shots trying to get the surfer to see more. Most are tits and ass shots, rarely hardcore dildo in pussy shots.

So you might want to say that while you accept freesites from cam girls.. each gallery has to feature the same girl.. or there be a theme.. like "latina" cam girls.. featuring 1 girl per gallery with 2 or 3 gallerys max. or big boobed cam girls. etc. not just random gallerys with different girls in each one. that would be my view on how it might be successful.

Nice info in your post. Just got a doubt to clear. What if a real camera is placed near the webcam and good quality pictures are taken? It can't be called as webcam shots. But I think it still can be used to promote webcam sites. Like to hear your opinion.

Yeah, I'm suprised that not more LL/TGPs takes cam shots - guess they consider them too small.

Well it is a site advertising her web cam and is pics of the model even if they aren't actually web cam pics so I guess it would fit in a cam girl category.




Maybe I would need to put something in my rules that says something like all pics need to be 500 on the long side except if they are actually web cam grabs. Still trying to decide how to do this.



Just a note…
When I do put this live I'll be doing a search for all the sites in my database that have the word cam in them so as to move them into this category. I've been putting web cam stuff mostly in Amateurs right now so I know that I do already have some sites in my database.

well it's a little bit difficult when you are trying to:

manouver your webcam so you are ON screen
have a dildo working
have 3 peeps in your video want to see your ass/tits/pussy all at the same time
convincing guys they really want to spend 2.99 a minute to see you live
convincing them that you are live and not just some web feed from some site pretending to be live
having your IM buzzing from wankers that want you to turn on yahoo because don't you know we are webcam ho's because we just LOVE it???
and SMILE at the cam all at the same time.

at least with most of the chat program interface you can preset your webcam to take pics automatically then go back and edit the archives. harder to do with a digital cam.

additional as i said in my original post, lots of true amateur cam girls are on limited budgets, most are single stay at home mothers and this is a way for them to earn income and stay off welfare/food stamps, or they are unable to work in a 9-5 'normal' job because of various reasons. As their income increases, their extra money is spent on upgrading their wardrobes or lighting etc. Some do have digital cameras but the vast majority do not.

so it's simple..if you want to promote REAL amateur cam girls, either take into consideration the limitations that you have with the content and adjust accordingly OR promote them using canned content that complies.

The advantage of using real amateur girls is that it's fresh content, the surfer MIGHT actually have a chance with someone like them rather than some content model, so it really can sell more and you are directing your traffic to a live girl who can interact with the surfer, increasing your chances of a sale since they are actually able to speak with a person, not just a inantimate site with a bunch of pictures and plug ins.

It's not for everyone but it does have value.

Thanks for your reply. I asked the question specifically becaus I got a content set with model posing for video chat. But it was captured with real camera instead of a webcam. So the images are good. Thanks for taking your time to answer.

Was it ever determined by consensus that LL would accept as a general rule, cam shots for content if it's promoting cam girls and cam sites??

or
1 site= several girls??

320x240 is the norm. Anything larger looks like crap.

I record all my cam shows so for me it is easy to do series pics (screen grabs) but like has been mentioned not all girls record their shows.

Ive also had a webcam category for some time - and yes I do make exceptions for web cam grabs "if they are submitted advertising a particular cam girl or set of girls" - I dont have a rule specifically for it as I kinda just look at the look and feel of the site submitted - I like to see the site be NOT professional graphics and fluff just like we promote the amat girls sites - give that amateurish feel to the site - oh and I wont accept "sponsor content" from the dating or huge cam megaplexes that have the hosted galleries and content sets that were shot by and of pros
