Traffic Trading 101
I need a basic lesson on traffic trading. A hardlink trade is one in which I put a link on my site to your site and you do the same for me?
Then I see these traffic trading scripts. I assume that it tracks the hits coming from my site and sends traffic back? Some scripts skim some traffic coming to me and sends it to whom I am trading with and in turn sends some of their traffic back to me? How can one tell the difference between the two types of scripts I mentioned above when one sees them on a site? I told you I needed a basic lesson? Perhaps there are some article that I could read? Thanks. |

Link swaps are the best bet I have found but you need to trust the one your swaping with traffic trades some are done by scripts some swear by them but its a tough game to play so your safer trading links rather that traffic

Hard links are nice, but this means that you then need to monitor if they have kept your link up and if it is a far trade.
Scripts can automate link trading. Most have a table that you can place on the page where you want to trade links and works like a top list. Some scripts just read your server stats to see who to put in the trade table and in what order. Still other scripts can also be set to skim traffic from paces that you tell it to, usually gallery listings, so that you have more traffic to send then just what gets clicked in your trade table. These scripts are often called CJ scripts because they can be set to send the surfer off into a circle jerk of trading with idea that they will get sick of being jerked around and finally buy something. When setting them up to tell it how much to skim off of certain links. So you may set it up where the first click always goes to the gallery, but the second click only has a 60% chance of going to the gallery and a 40% chance of going to who you owe the most hits to. These scripts come in a free version and paid versions. The free versions send a small amount of your skimmed traffic to who wrote the script. The paid versions do not take any of your traffic. Here is a free one that I use http://www.turbotraffictrader.com/downloads.shtml They also offer a paid version. The "Friends Table" at the top of this page is generated by the above script. http://www.cleos-porn-links.com/adult-links/index.shtml It updates about every 20 minutes or whatever I set it for. I skim from some of the gallery links on this page. http://cleos-links-for-horny-surfers...inks/tgp.shtml I have the skim set very low on this page so most of the time you will get the gallery. If you go to any of the achieve pages I have the skim set higher. What else would you like to know? ![]() |

Dear Cleo:
Thanks for the time you took in replying to my post. I really appreciate it. In terms of other questiions I may have perhaps I can ask you this. If I signed up for your trade at this link http://www.cleos-porn-links.com/ttt-webmaster.php from my end I link to you on my page and send you hits. What happens at your end as the result of the hits I sent you? Please be patient with me. Btw, did I ever tell you how beautiful and smart you are? ![]() |

You can sign up if you like.
![]() http://www.cleos-porn-links.com/traffic-trade.html You need to send at least a few hits each day or you get deleted, but you can always sign up and try again. What happens at me end you ask… Next time I login to my traffic admin I see you in there waiting for approval. Providing you have submitted a link list or TGP and your page is legal, doesn't mess with the browser and doesn't have any consoles I approve it and then it will start sending hits back. To get in the trade table you need to send enough hits to be there. How many hits varies, today it looks like it would need to be at least 30 hits to be near the bottom. Also the script would keep track of how many hits I owe you and would display your list instead of a gallery sometimes in order to pay what is owed to you. There are no special link codes for all of this as the page you send hits to has a bit of php code in it that sets a cookie in the surfer's browser that tells the script where the referral came from. That is about it. PS: thanks for the compliment. ![]() |

The traffic that the script sends comes from traffic exiting the domain?

Yes if you are trading from me then the traffic would be coming from my link list.
You would get two types of traffic. Those that clicked on your link in the trade table. This is the best traffic since the surfer knew where they are going, they wanted to check out your site. Traffic that is skimmed form the submitted gallery links on my TGP page. This traffic is not so great since the surfer thought that they where going to a gallery, but they ended up at your site, but hey maybe they will see something that they like. Who knows maybe they will end up back at my site off of one of your skimmed links after surfing around at your site. This is why it is called a CJ script. |

I've heard that folks like Shemp absolutely detest CJ scripts. Is there anyway around using them if you're not an already established player, or are they simply another necessary step towards becoming successful?

So the traffic I will be sending to you would be off some link on my site? The traffic would already be in my site before being sent to you? |

It is a traffic trade so you need some traffic to trade. So yes you need to think up a way to send some traffic. The script will only return traffic to the domain that it came from.
How the traffic got to your site is up to you but it has to come from someplace or you will not have any traffic to send. The idea is a few hits get sent back and forth and build it up over time. Then slowly you build up traffic. Yeah some people don't like scripts, some people don't like chocolate ice cream, it's what makes the world interesting. I use one, doesn't mean I think they are really great or anything. It is just a tool that I found filled a need. It can be abused or not abused, it's just a tool. I mostly just use the top list feature with a little skimming added in to keep the trades alive. Since I don't do much skimming and I'm not some huge TGP my trades are small trades. Really the only reason that I use a script is it pretty much automates everything so I can do other things. |
