Some background/news (for readers with time today):

Okay...so, after spending most of my time on the other side of things, XratedTV is an attempt to learn a little more about the TGP/LL sides of the equation. My intention is to grow this from the private/closed MGP site that it is right now, into a site that accepts submissions of both movie galleries and movie free sites. I'll probably add reviews of good movie paysites too. If I work hard and have good fortune, it may develop into a well-known site one day.

It is now, and will always be, a straight site, meaning no blind links, exit consoles, popups or any of that kind of stuff is allowed. I'm sure there's good money to be made using those methods, and it does seem possible to grow raw traffic numbers much faster using blind links to trade surfers, but I'm not taking that path.

For now I'm only using hosted galleries (and hfs soon), and practicing the simplest reviewing skills on those. Rewriting some descriptions, making thumbs, checking link codes and making sure there are no exit popups, that kind of thing. (Yes, I was surprised how much work there is even in using only hosted galleries!)

I know I have to learn a lot of the little things you don't learn from outside. Some things you only learn by doing. So first I'm working on building traffic, getting bookmarkers, creating a good working database of content, and designing more category page templates.

Of course, the other thing I'll be doing is trading hard links with some suitable sites. I've been cautioned to be careful about trading links, so I'm going to walk carefully until I get a better understanding of this.

I have some sites already listed in the "Friends" section of the index/warning page. Those are there primarily because they've consistently sent good traffic to the affiliate program for our Fetish Club paysite. If anyone already listed there wants to add a link to XratedTV from any of your sites, it would be most appreciated, but your link will stay on the XratedTV page regardless (unless you want it moved/removed for some reason).

Aside from those already there, I'll be adding links in the Friends section only to well-known TGPs/LLs owned by folks I actually know or who are known by others I know here.

Directly below the Friends section is a "More Sites with More XXX Porn" section. I'm open to trading there with TGP/LL/Review sites that've been around awhile even if I don't know you, or with sites that are new but owned by someone who's been on the board for awhile. Hell, if you're new here and have a new site, talk with me anyway and maybe we can do something.

Besides the "More Sites" section on the warning page, I'd also consider a few trades for the main page, and some category page trades. There are about twenty category pages so far. I'll be adding a webmasters page soon, and can consider suitable links there too.

For those who care, this month's average is just over 2K visitors a day, with a high of 3,700 visitors yesterday. This is a new project, so the traffic isn't much yet, but that will change. Also for those who care, I think only the index page has PR at this point. I'm sure that will change too (since it always does).

Well, enough rambling for one morning. If anyone is still reading at this point, please do hit me up for link trades, and if you have any feedback about the site, please feel free to let me know. I'm looking to learn here, so suggestions for improving the site are most welcome.

Fred - BellSouth's dsl was wonky for a couple of hours yesterday. I saw your message on icq but couldn't get a reply to go through until after you were gone. Not sure if you got the replies I sent. I added your link on the warning page and main page. Let me know if you'd like to do some cat trades, I think we have 10 or some matching categories.
