Some questions regarding datinggold

Well let me first say hi everyone, been visiting this site for ages but this is my first post.
I want to add dating gold to a small site I am building. Actually got their name from here...so thanks guys:-) I am however unsure about the $1/$2 free signup program. Is there a specific criteria for the $2 program. Just not sure why they offer both, as one would surely choose to be paid $2.

So anyone using this please give me your comments
