Free Tips #1 - Avoiding silly mistakes

Every day myself and reviewers for Megapornlinks.com, Link-o-rama.com, Jk-Porn.com, cleos, Findpics etc. etc. see 50 to 200 differnet sites while reviewing... So 'we' know how to spot problems with sites. Some times those problems a small and may seem insignificant but seen repetitively over weeks, months you might find a reviewer getting pissed of with those "simple" mistakes... and that may mean your site doesnt get listed! So here are some simple things you can make sure you get right and maybe increase your likelihood of getting listed. Apologies to the people I have used as examples but somone had to be the Guinea Pigs  ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Example #1 Blondes Having Fun http://www.realitypornsite.net/blondes-have-some-fun/ Site looks ok, clear enter link, clear galleries and decent movies... BUT!! The index page - http://www.realitypornsite.net/blondes-have-some-fun/ - lacks a complete body tag Quote:

You and 20 other webmasters do the same thing.. we get 20 sites that look the same.. and we will reject the lot! My linklist and I would imagine the others too, need a little variety to be "attractive" to surfers, if all sites looked the same no one would come back to us.. and that means we send less traffic. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Example #3 Awesome Latinas http://www.ethnic-babes.net/latina/b...esome_latinas/ Again basically a nice looking site. BUT!................ 1. Incomplete body tag - missing link colors(see example #1) 2. The reason I wanted to use this as an example is the shabby HTML used on the index page. The top three picture images are squashed into that table.. they are not cut to size.. That is just lazy annoying and it slows down your page as the surfer loads a full image instead of a cut-to-size thumbnail.The first front page image is http://www.ethnic-babes.net/latina/b...nas/front1.jpg but it is "squashed" to 210 x 200 IT is actually THIS BIG - http://www.dangerdave.com.au/front1.jpg - 426x640 and 44K - more than TEN times the size it should be! THIS SLOWS YOUR PAGE DOWN and pisses surfers off!(and reviewers!) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Example #4 Lesbian Orgasm http://xpornclub.com/lesbianorgasm/index.html Again a decent site... Except - for the banner on this page - http://xpornclub.com/lesbianorgasm/main.html - with the "fake thumbnails" - http://xpornclub.com/lesbianorgasm/450x200_01.jpg It's proably going to be alright 8 times out of 10, but again if you get a reviewer who is tired or seen too many template sites etc.. it's gonna annoy them and they are gonna think about rejecting your site. IMO its better to make sure you get listed than take chances. So not using a banner with "fake thumbnails" may be a better idea. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Example #5 Veronica http://www.pornscripters.com/freesit...orn/index.html Once again a decent site... Except.... the front page link that says - "Watch sluts like Veronica getting fucked good,CLICK NOW" This might, and can, get called a blind link to sponsor. Decieving the surfer, when they are looking for the content on your site, and getting them to click a link to a sponsor wont make you sales.. it will only make your ratio worse... Use text that indicates to the surfer that they are heading for a "pay site" - if they know .... and they still click.. you may just make a sale. An informed surfer is one that buys!------------------------------------------------------------------------- Example #6 Innocent Kiss http://www.babesxrated.com/lesbians/innocent_kiss/ Yet again a decent site.. but silly "mistakes" may cost it a listing. http://www.babesxrated.com/lesbians/..._kiss/main.htm - The Sapphic Erotica Banner ISN'T a banner, its a thumbnail with text on it.. Again it could, and will be called a blind link by some reviewers. ** Remember if reviewers find an "error" on the index page... they rarely look any further into the site and just hit the "reject" button. So if the reviewer got past the first page they would look at the galleries.. and the same "thumbnail banner" is used in the galleries. - http://www.babesxrated.com/lesbians/...kiss/page.html That IS deceptive IMO and again will only make your ratio worse. It will also probably get rejected. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Sooooooooooooooo. Be careful when your building, this is a biz, and this is YOUR product. Most of these sites are listable, but many would not make the cut on a day when better sites were around, or if the reviewer had just seen 18 russian template sites, or if the reviewer was tired, or if the reviewer had PMT! Look at your site when it is online. Look at your site at 800x600 and 1024x768 Look at your site like a "newbie surfer" Test the links(use a link checker - Xenu is free and takes 10 secs to run over a free site) Check the thumbs link to the right pics. Make your ENTRANCE CLEAR! Make your GALLERIES CLEAR! Put full body tags in your pages. Don't "squash" images. Don't submit sponsor templates(use them but just dont submit em!) These things will get your site listed. Listed sites get traffic. Traffic = sales. It's that simple! DD ---------- Spelling and typos in this message were checked with a MAC
