Number of recip. links?

I mostly use text links for recips on my free sites. Usually 9 that look something like this: http://www.hotandhuge.com/free/big_black_busty/

Would it be acceptable to add maybe another row totaling 12 if all are text? Is that to many? Would it clutter the page to much?

The reason for my asking is I have no problem at all getting free sites listed and getting traffic to them but I'm not seeing the signups I'd like after slowly but steadily building up my list of sites. I was thinking that if I added in some "fresh" new recips to the ones I always submit to then I might have a chance at getting a better signup ratio.
