My first free site...

ok peeps. Hows it going ? my names Andy and im completly new to this. Id like you to check out my first free site and tell me if its good enough to be listed at most places. Im about to make my second site so all tips will be noted down for my next effort Anywhoooo... thanks for checking it out in advance.

Why'd you align it on the left? No tthat there's anything wrong with that, just seems a bit unusual

Your pics are not so much "too big" but they can be alot smaller & thus, less bandwidth (and easier for dial up surfers to see) You can cut those down to 480x640 & probably cut the file size by 75% in the process.

Do you have an reccomendations for image compression and thumbnail generation software/tools i should use.

Any more tips. i wanna get this down to a T, so dont have to faff about changing things all the time. Once again, everyones advice help is mucho apreciated. thx

BTW: im using css for my pages. Im gonna get a particular layout that works and i will then just change the colours with a few clicks to get a new feel. Saving alot of red designing. But i think this layout needs a few mods. IE Ill probably need to make the recip links box bigger.

Resize those full pics and I think your site is very good and would be listed everywhere. You have good text and a good clean feel to the site.

Just my 2cents here.

First of all, your first freesite looks really good. Other than what the others have said, I'd probably put up an image recip for Wetplace, instead of text link. But, then again, that is just my personal preference, and you might still get listed at Wetplace using that, I dunno.

One small piece of constructive critisism [I hope it's consdtructive] is that your 'menu' page has more than three 'outgoing links'. That is links to other sites which appear to be sponsor [or your own other site] links

As I understand it, this is normally rejected by an increasing number of LLs, and it's a rule that the Harem enforces too

That aside, keep going and you'll be just fine

Im gonna keep this thread.. Im making my hub/mini linklist high breed at the moment. and another couple of free sites. i will post these as soon as there done and you guys can help me out with any fundamental errors im making.

Ok once again i dont wanna polute the board so ill keep everything in this thread...

My sites finished, well, my prototype site. It took me about 2 hours to design (yes i know im a design genius) and sorting out my little list took me about 1hour or so.

Instead of making a link list i think ill just keep it as a hub. updating my own sites and trying to get people who didnt click on any banners on my free sites go to this site and see if anything else catches there fancy.

Should i list all my free sites on the main page ? i was thinking of this but wouldnt people who have no intention of buying anything come back and leech all my bandwidth? or would people be more likely try to find something of interested and maybe purchase.

Im sorta confused... if you can make sense of my ramblings feel free to help me out
