Reporting Spam to Google

I reported this a couple of weeks ago to Google along with another site by the same webmaster which contained huge slabs of text ripped off from one of my sites but nothing.

I have since watched it continue to climb in the SERP.

It is now #3 for "creampie"

The other site I reported was

http://glory-hole.eclub.lv/

which I found when checking serps for Thia Creampie. It comes up for that search term because the webmaster has just copied huge chunks of text from one of my sites. They are only actually promoting glory holes on this page.

The webmaster and host are in an Eastern European Country and I suspect they do not feel compelled to respect our laws on copyright.

I have contacted the the webmaster and they did ask me to identify what was copied. I did that but they have since ignored my communications.

I have yet to contact the host (looks like a Free host).

I actually thought it might be more effective to try to get him removed from the Search Engines before trying to close his site down.

I suppose my options now are to

- contact the host
- contact the sponsors he is promoting
- ?

(I just sent of a e-mail to the owners of oldstylecakes to alert them in case they want to pursure the matter)

Sure enough it now seems to be down. Wow I did not realise the power of this board - with in a minute of posting the site is down.

As to your concern, it sucks having your stuff stolen, and if it's just some nameless spammer then your best bet to have an affect is to email them, their host, and their sponsor.

Although personally I don't think neither they nor their host will really give a shit, and sponsors of course never want to shut anybody's account down unless what they are doing is blatantly illegal, or costing them money.

I'm not sure what google is doing at the moment. There are a lot of cloaked pages in the first positions with domains all hosted on the same IP. I thought google is in the position to expose those spammers. The the index is spammed like one year ago.

a friend of mine showed me 19.000 spampages of someone who use her text and all from her linksite, she reported it to google in the meantime, 40.000+ more spampages with her text is climbing in google and more will come in everday........its so sad.
