Hard Link Trades

What is a "hard link trade" and how does that compare with any other link trade?

A hard link trade is where you link to a site using the full url without the use of any scripts of any source ie. <a href="http://www.domain.com">Domain Name</a> is a hard link while <a href="http://www.domainyouaretradingwith.com/tradeout.php">Domain Name</a> is not.
