need help again :)

Ok can not get myself into submitting or updating today. So I figured I'd use this time with your help to make myself a smarter wm..

What is the reason for counters at the bottom of pages? I had someone submit a site that had it coded in and declined it. Do these things redirect or something?

On trading links, do you really need a lot to get the traffic up on your link site. Or is the quailty of the links you trade with. Such as having a link to one of the "big links lists" that are more important?

I have never put my sites up to be reviewed here. Maybe that would be a good idea. Could I get some advice on what I might do to make these two sites better?

Sorry for all the questions and Thanks!

I personally dont see the need for counters on the page, except as a convience, like those that e-mail stats. Server stats on your host are far more accurate and reliable. It's also been said as many counters are javascript, that the JS can be used to say load spyware, ect.

And yes, the quality of links you get to your site can make a diff in the SE's. The bigger the more popular the site, the better it is suppose to be in helping your site.

Foxys place looks good, but the graphics are out of wack and the enter graphic does'nt load for me. The inside looks nice, but not real exciting, the ads for sure are not going to get your much. Plain regular sized banners pull very little clicks. Great start, look nice, just needs some fixing and tweaks...

Pretty much all counters require that some script is put on your page. My bot scans for scripts and things, and directly rejects anything with a script on the page.

So your counter wouldn't have as much to count, I guess.

Decent server side stats are pretty easy to get set up, awstats and others will give you pretty much the same information as the counters (and this is why you don't see the counter people around much pushing their product because they know they are in a mature market now).

Hi Sue,

As ronnie said, the graphics are out of line in the middle column of the front page on foxy - doesn't seem to affect the other pages. Looks good though!

One really tiny minor point - your disclaimer on both sites reads "I will nor will [site name] be held responsible ..." If you lose the "nor will [site name]" clause (is it called a clause? I was never hot on the techinical terms for bits of sentences ) that reads as "I will be held responsible" |shocking|.

Maybe you could change it to something like "Neither I nor [Site Name] will..."? Just a thought - maybe I'm nitpicking again

Rob.

Thanks for the tips! The enter button doesn't work? Well that is not good to hear at all. Graphics out of line do you mean my links to my galleries Ronnie?

RobUK I want people to nitpick my site. I'm still trying to come up with some ideas to make it better. So need all the nitpicking I can get...

The banners I know are boring, I threw them up their for lack of any other ideas. What would be better text instead of the banners?

Thanks all for your ideas and I'll always take more as it is always a work in progress.

I would suggest that you add a category for reality porn sites in Sue's Sexy Sites.
