Scammed by a traffic broker .. ?

Many people we have worked with or know have been scammed by traffic brokers in the past few months. Legitimate brokers have tried to follow, post and warn people, but we cannot reach you all.

I'll not sure I how I feel about http://www.findtrades.com/brokers.shtml , because it is not an unbiased reporting system, and many factors can influence the outcome, however, we need your help. All of you who have ever bought traffic.

The reason it's not considered unbiased, in my opinion, is because people can add whatever they like, or feel their traffic management skills are in relation to the traffic received. However, kudos to Choker for listing himself. As a general rule, legitimate reviews will not be deleted or altered, period.

In co-operation with many honest and legitimate brokers working out here with you, I ask you to speak your mind.

If you have bought traffic from anyone on this list, please post your honest unbiased opinion. If we get enough reports, we can point people here for at least, some information.

Then, go to http://www.findtrades.com/ and register. Log in. Find the link to review or suggest a broker, and post. Everything is confidential.

Yes, you read correct. Please re-read my post above again, beginning with the second, and continuing through the third paragraph.

However, in light of the numbers of people who've been scammed lately, and in the interest of public service that these reviews be made .. I visited with Choker and decided to post these threads.

Hopefully , enough people will post that the difference between the scammers and the providers will be obvious.

That's going to take some co-operation by everyone.

It's possible that I'll end up with a rating of 4, hell, anyone could post anything. You never heard me say I liked the system. It's flawed .. very.

Maybe, new brokers as they appear out here every week, can get placed on that list. maybe, I ( and all of the other legit providers ) can spend less time putting out fires about how *traffic providers* are thieves, and spend more time making money doing my job.

I like that idea.

Yep, I didn't take it like that. I run by nearly the same nic on all the boards.

I'm generally recognized by my sig, but it got edited on one board because I never contribute any thing worth while and I steal from their precious advertisers on the top 3/4 of the board.

KC is absolutely right. We've been on the trail of a few scammers that are just making new sites after they burn too many people.

There are a number of trusted traffic sellers out there, KC is one of them - so are Ravo, Choker, Carlos, and (of course) me. I'm not saying that we're the only people to trust, but if you search the boards, you'll see what I mean.

Bottom line - do a search on the boards, on the person/site, before buying traffic from anyone.

I have bought traffic in the past from Ravo, everything ws fine, too bad the project I was working on at the time dried up, because everything was okay with Ravo.

However, there are scammers out there left and right. Advanced hitbots that will appear like a click, and even click a link on your page for you to make it look real... but in reality is just one of their bots spoofing an IP and screwing with you.

One person who has been in the business as long as I have still brokers traffic, and I have seen what his hitbots and img scr'ed traffic looks like. It is amazing.

Buyer beware... and more.
