A few questions
Hey Everyone! Im new to this board and just put up my first site (www.eyecandy3x.com). Now that I am up and running and getting ready to continue making and submitting galleries, what is the best way to get traffic traded with top sites? I want to bring traffic in and send it out with everyone, but since Im new, is there a way I need to establish myself before I will see any real traffic? Do I have to sheel out money to TGP's to be seen? Any pointers you guys could give would be great...

You're not shooting for much SearchEngine traffic I hope. Your site has no text.

Unfortunately, you are a loooong way away from getting link trades with the big guys/girls. You need to build a good, clean site and you need to establish a name for yourself. Building traffic without good link exchanges is both painful and slow. Building a solid name for yourself isn't much easier. I've been at this a few years and I can think of only one link exchange that I have with a 'big' player - and I didn't go begging for it, he approached me.
This industry is a lot like Survivor. Make the right alliances and you can stay in the game a little longer. Make the wrong ones and you're fucked. I've also found it handy to call everyone 'cocksucker'. That way, when you say it out of anger and pure hatred, no one can tell. ![]()

Unless you have a dollars to start you need to spend time reading a few boards. When you get tired of reading, grab a cup of coffee, put some visine in your red eyes and then read some more.
Learn as much as possible. Start posting and asking a few questions now and then. Allow people to understand who you are. No need to make 100s of posts a week as you'll probably come across badly if you start that way. Think about this for a minute. Most people that have top sites have worked for years on them. They've built good relationships with others. They've also been burned many times but people they didn't know well and sometimes by people they did. 100's maybe even 1,000s of new people try to enter this business every day. Some want to run an honest business but most are just trying to scam a few bucks. Since there isn't much face to face with people it's difficult to trust and easy to rip off. People are going to be very guarded. We've all had others trying to rip us off. But spending enough time on boards helping others, making reasonable comments and asking good questions gets even a COCKSUCKER some respect ![]() |

Thanks for the pointers
Thanks for your imput everyone. I have been reading about this business for years (I knew a guy who did pretty well as a webmaster). I am ready to keep learning and progressively establishing my site/sites. I am not in this to rip people off, cheat, make a quick buck, etc. I put a lot of time into my site concept and visuals on my own and just want to become part of the webmaster network. I just want to get the Eye Candy3x name out there (another site is in the works), and make a few dollars at the same time.

With that mind set you should do ok. I have been building websites for 6 years and knew nothing about it till I got here. Seriously, building main streem sites is a whole other world then adult. Not easier or harder, just differant. I think networking on boards is very important. I only really post on this one and have had second thoughts if that was good or bad. I want to promo some stuff right now but don't think its such a good idea to do a drive by spam post on other boards. I think I'm just going to stay here and post in the proper place when the time is right. At lest this way I know the members here and they know I'm not trying to screw them. But that has only come from posting here for almost a year i think. I read this board everday and it has been the best thing i could have done in this buiness. Helped me stay alive and not give up thats 100% for sure.

One thing that I should probably point out. The advice that I gave you was what allowed me to go full time within a few months after starting in this biz. I didn't have much capital but I was able to work 16 hours a day.
It was a forum run by Green Guy back then and now there's a complete board with a bunch of forums run by GG. At least you're in the right place. Good luck mate. I hope to see you around. |

I am a firm believer in appealing to niche type markets. I have one older MILF type lady that is very hot & her site does fairly well. Also I believe in fetishes and such as these type sites are not as prevalant. Also I believe the staying ratio is greater with these members. I do not advocate anything illegal or such. But TS/TG and SM/BD sites I believe can be very profitable.
