whois.sc problems

Anyone else having a fuck of a time using whois.sc since they changed to domaintools? I get 404's, fatal errors and generally haven't been able to use it properly since the switch. Teething troubles for them or me looking in the wrong place? Any decent alternatives until they iron out the creases? I've tried a few whois services but most of them suck

Yup, same problems here on and off.

I'm using http://whois.webhosting.info/ when whois.sc is playing up.

You can use: http://whois.domaintools.com/domain.com or www.whois.ws
They both work smoothly for me.

Lisa - I like this one too because you can do a reverse IP for free - but for some reason not on all of them and sometimes it doesn't return much info. It's the one I use for backup. I also have this in my faves - I'm pretty sure I got it from someone here at some point - http://www.dnsstuff.com/.

Jel - did you create an account? I haven't had any problems since the change, I think I like it better actually.

Their service has always been a bit spotty/slow. But, they also offer a couple bits of information others don't so I continue to use them. While keeping a couple of the others as backup for those slow/spotty times.

Actually, the past couple days domaintools has been pretty good though

Yep got an account, just these last few days it's really been playing up. Thanks for those other links, I guess I'll be using those whenever it acts up
