Move to Europe?

Newbie here, but gotta say that the resources on this website are fanatastic.

Anyway, seeing a bunch of tourists around town this weekend got me thinking. Given some of the difficulties in doing business in the US, how many have every thought of moving their operations to Europe? If you could (everything like permits, taxes, incorporation etc magically worked out), would you?

Just an idle thought.

Europe is big and there's quite a big difference between the countries.

Actually, it was something from Amsterdam city hall that got me wondering. Later this year they're going to launch a program to attract entrepreneurs from outside the country. More an idle question than anything else.

Real estate aint' doing bad though.... up 8.5% in the last year. (But watch out for the foundations of buildings here. Stuff tends to sink.)

I've been to Europe. It ain't all it's cracked up to be. Hardly better than America at all.

I have a few friends from Eastern Europe ( <ex>comunist countries mostly ) who moved or are going to move to Prague because adult business is forbidden in their countries. I heard lots of great things about Prague and since there are a few known guys who moved there to grow their adult business I strive to suppose it's good for that.

Prague is super. I lived there for just about all of the 1990s. I ran across a guy here who used to have his "employees" here, but now many of them are in Prague. Same salary, but it goes oh so much further.....
