CNNHLN has been playing this all day, and I thought it was too cool not to share.

I saw the making of that last night. The girl they used said that she was in a makeup chair for over 10 hours with the best makeup and hair people Dove could find And still, they had to photoshop her.

I love that clip. I've said many times to hubby 'I'd look like that too if I had hair & makeup artists work me over for 3 hours'. Well I guess not. How sad for everyone that our ideal of beauty isn't even real.

That video sent tingles up my spine!

The arousing photography I'm most fond of was from this old b&w film photographer who I took classes with for a couple years. He would work with naturally beautiful women (any average girl who would pose for him) and spend multiple sessions in the studio with them. He'd pick up on all the subtle characteristics that made their feminine allure so unique, and emphasize them with light and selective focus etc.

He was, by far, the most inpsiring instructor I've ever had. And he preferred his models never wore make up, and he didn't know how to turn on a computer.

Too bad he's dead now...

You know what's kind of funny about that. It's what a shooter is supposed to do. When I was pressing the button way back when, I went to an old timers class to study light. We got to talking about shooting females. I will never forget what he told me. "It's easy to shoot supermodels, they would look great if you put them in a barrel of shit. The real shooters take the average woman off the street and make her look like a supermodel." That really changed my way of shooting. I went from only looking for hottys too shooting just about any woman who would pose for me. It really did help.

That was really cool. I see these twig girls starving themselves in the name of beauty in the mags by the grocery checkout and think why? Most men I've met like a few curves (although I could do with a few less, lol)
