Web Page Gallery

Is there an easy way to create a web page gallery with thumbnails, without having the pictures open in an html page, just show the picture?

Something like photoshop, where it generates the thumbnails and index page but without each picture having its own html page?

I want to create index pages with 50 to 100 pics each.

I recently start using Arles, it's been around for a few years and I've heard nothing but good things about it. Tried it myself and I love it.

I hacked up a small util the other day, NOT user friendly, but with the proper hacking it could be pretty good... Probably not what you are looking for, but the forum name said "Programming & .." so any excuse to talk code
