question about richards realm list and others

Hi guys, i ve been making sites for couple of weeks and submitting them to lists with highest traffic(by alexa rank). Some of them send me much traffic some of them medium, and some of them none, somewhere i dont even get a reply to mail. Anyway i am interested in this richards realm rule so can anyone explain me what it means,
this is not allowed:
"Images 'courtesy of' a pay site."

well how can i promote sponsor when this is not allowed, to promote images of paysite. Or maybe i dont get it.

Richards Realm sent me 15-30 hits daily so its not like they never replied to mails or so. But its very poor, Hoes send me 600 hits minimum. Can i do something about it to raise traffic to my site?, and how can get into Tommys bookmarks and other good lists, they sent me none but i heard they are all very good and that have quality traffic.
I want to mention that im not a cheater or spammer or anything like that, just begun to work with sites and dong it as plain html.

all i know is that richards realm send very good traffic and he does already for many years, even my old sites still get enough traffic from him and they do replay on emails........so thats "my" experience, all i know it will take some time to get listed there with free sites, but believe me they do give good traffic back

Free sites don't have to contain sponsor content. When I started 7 years ago there was no such thing. You just chose what you thought was good content and put ads on the pages. It's still a legit way to do it. Plenty of content providers have cheap sets available. If you're worried you're misrepresenting your sponsor, just say something along the lines of "More hot pics like this available at (sponsorname)."

well i heard that too, and statistics says so, do you guys think that i should submit there everyday too, i dont want to be annoying.

I submitted everyday for 10 years. As long as you are NOT submitting the same thing (niche, layout, color scheme, etc) every time LL's and TGP's won't mind. I would recommend using 5 different niche you like as a starting point and submit to a different category with a different design daily when you learn to build efficiently.

I started with Tap's and then after a couple of years started using those as page templates for free sites. No owner wants to see the same thing submitted day after day with the only difference being the content.

Just my 2 cents...
