My first free site

I was just looking for some advice relating to my first attempt at a free site. My site is www.adultpicvault.com. Basically I am planning to update it quite frequently, hopefully graduating to adding my own original content, but I have a few questions.

1. Recip links. Where to put them? Curently I have a list started on the main page but is it better to put say like 6-9 of them on the warning page instead?

2. Sponsors. I have read the rules to several LL's and noticed that a quite frequent rule is only having three sponsor link outs per page. Is this three per sponsor or all together? I was under the impression that the more link outs meant a better listing.

3. Design. Obviously this is my first attempt at web design of any kind so I am learning on the fly so to speak, but can anyone point out any major design flaws which may inhibit my success with this?

I am not looking to get rich, just to learn how to design, and if I can make a little extra every month, it would be a nice bonus.

This site will not be listed as a freesite with linklists out there....
First of all because it is not a freesite...
If you take a look at the freesites listed at ex. Greenguys link-o-rama, you will see what I mean.
A freesite is not a site with a lot of free porn on it, it's a site that is there to sell a paysite to the surfer.... A freesite contains a warningpage...and here you place the recips and you place them above the enter link to your mainpage, this is where you put some text to tease the surfer to enter the two gallery pages, gallery1 and gallery2..... the two galleries are last stop before the surfer clicks back or enter the sponsors site...

Each of these pages can have 3 outgoing links (to sponsors or ex. your own hubpage.....) ... and yeah thats 3 in total, and not pr sponsor...
And you will NOT !!!!! change and update a freesite..... a freesite you build, submit and forget..... basicly......

Read some guides on how to do stuff, and get to know the different words used in adult, ask questions and listen (there are a lot of people worth listening to in here), spend some time reading the posts in the newbieforum.....

If freesites are what you want to work with after you learn what a freesite is, GG and Jim is THE best place to hang out .....

Good luck.

Ok thanks for the clarification. So what category would this site fall under? The start of a paysite?

i would say a fake tgp of a hub for all the pages you make and all the sponsors you use for the freesites/galleries and so on you make....

The main index of your domain is a good place for a site like a hub page...
and use folders (not subdomains) for your freesites...

But in a newbie myself in this, so take what i say with a lil salt and hope someone thats been in adult a bit longer can answer you better...

Basically what You have there is the start of a hub site, Your gallery pages should be removed and put on free sites instead, as stated a free site is a site with 1 warning page where the recips go, a main page and 2 or more gallery pages, I would say max 4 gallery pages (I never do more than 2 gallery pages myself)

Go check out some of the free sites listed on link lists and get some ideas from there.

Here is my own hub site: http://www.pornlinkworld.com/

I don't know if it is a good hub, but a hub it is or some would maybe call it a fake link list. I use it to list all the free sites I build, but I dont have recips on the sites listed at my hub, so if a surfer makes it to my hub, I won't "leak" traffic to other peoples link lists.

In addition to what has been said also note that a lot of linklist owners will not like seeing their recip below the gallery entrance link. And your sponsor banners probably will not do very well either unless it is made so that it is visible without the surfer having to scroll (because in general they won't if they already see the ENTER link).

Remember that all your banners do not have to all be on one page either. You can put some of those banners on the actual galleries too. One or two a page is generally safe, but check the rules for each freesite.

Good general design skills though. You just need to learn the ins and outs of freesites, that's all.
