I just bought a new mouse and looked at the wireless ones but they all were either too big and too much trouble to charge or be carrying extra batteries since the mouse is for my laptop bag.

Seems more practical just to use a mouse with a tail.

About 2 or 3 weeks for me, but I think Jim has one that's rechargable, so you just put it in the charge when you're not working & you're all set

I used a trackball after that for a couple years, then moved on to a glide pad and never looked back. Chasing a damn mouse cordless or not , around a desk top is not my idea of efficiency.

Im using one that Microsoft put out, use it all day long, and maybe change the batteries once every two months.

Those of us that actually do work & move the mouse once in a while have to change them every 2-3 weeks

I should have mentioned that 90% of the time I use keyboard short cuts as well.

I have used Logitech wireless mouse from 1999. I still have the same mouse. Batteries last some 5-6 weeks, and I use it every day.

It's bigger and heavier than ordinary mouse, but I love that because I have big bear paws.

It was pain in the ass to use normal mouse, the cord was always jamming somewhere. Cordless is a way to go to me.

I also bought de luxe mouse pad same time with this mouse. It has silicon wrist pad. Same silicon they use in breasts, lol! I haven't had any wrist pains after that.

I use rechargeable batteries, but I have couple pairs of ordinary ones ready. Just today I had to switch them in mouse and put the rechargeable ones to load.

My favourite mouse is the Microsoft hard wired, standard ball type Intellimouse.

I've tried using other mice, but they don't last as long.

I have a large mouse graveyard full of other brands which wore out.

I've goon through more mice then I can remember.

Right now I'm using this, Kensington Iridio and really like the way it tracks and feels.

If they made that in a wireless model that used Bluetooth and throw away batteries I would buy it, but the only wireless model they make is this HUGE mouse with a HUGE charger that needs another piece plugged into the USB port since it doesn't use Bluetooth. (my laptop has Bluetooth built-in)

Since I'm a laptop user I don't want to also have to lug around a mouse charger and mouse receiver.

When I was at CompUSA the other day I did see some mice that where small and did use Bluetooth over in their PC laptop section, but they wouldn't let me try them before buying them and since they were no name I had no idea what kind of driver they would have.

Both the mouse button and scroll wheel will work with no mouse driver, but mouse makers like Kensington or Logictech make good drivers that allow assigning functions to the buttons and custom tracking settings so for me the driver is very important as I do a lot of graphics using a mouse.

Apple sells a nice form factor Bluetooth mouse, but I hate mice with only one button.

I have been using the Logic Tech wireless keyboard and mouse for about three years. Battery life has never been a major issue, however it can be very deadly if they run low while you are in the middle of an online game!

The funniest thing was when I first set it up and my sister-n-law wanted to use my computer. She sat down and of course immediately had a problem and called me. Rushing over, with an expression of horror I asked her what she had done to my mouse? She hasn't asked me to use my computer in awhile now!
