Right mouse click disable work-around
If someone has the right mouse click disabled so you can't view the page source, what's the work-around so you see view the source code?
Oops, this might should go in Programming And Scripting Last edited by Licker4U; 2007-07-04 at 12:23 PM.. Reason: Might need to be moved |

You asked how affective disable right mouse click was...
The right mouse click disable script only affects some browsers and does nothing in other browsers Safari being one of them. |

I didn't ask how affective it was, I asked how to defeat it. There's some clicks or something you can do to get around it. Safari did, thanks! |

Well you know boys, a nuclear reactor is a lot like women. You just have to read the manual and press the right button
|
You can go to File -> Save and save the page on your hard drive (actually it's already there, in the Temporary Internet Files).
Or use Firefox; you could install a nifty plugin called Web Developer Toolbar.

I use FireFox and theres multiple ways to bypass that (it's just a lame JavaScript trick..).
First off you can disable JavaScript and refresh the page (Preferences -> Content -> Load Javascript). Or you can get a extension called NoScript which prevents JavaScript from automatically running (nice for some ads, etc). Or as mentioned above, CTRL + U to view the source, but it's a bit more tedious finding certain things (like images). |
