Free sites and where to submit them....

I did free sites for a while last summer and am trying to get back into the swing of things.... Currently I submit to
link-o-rama, hoes.com, tommys, richards, penisbot, smutgremlins, persiankitty, wetplace, cfporn, and freesitexxx.com

out of those 10 places I probably get listed at 2 or 3 of them....

Do people just not care about their link lists now ? Are my sites not good enough? Are their just to many people submitting?

i'm interested to hear why sites like these aren't being listed too.

most of the sites that i see in the list are alot uglier, have alot more advertising on them, and very template looking.

i'd list your site if i ran a link list..

Nic,

The reason is clear IMO.

The content you are using is the most overused on the net... Pixmasters, from their early collections.. and probably the only two decent looking women from those collections...

You would be lucky get to get listed anywhere.

lol, damn, what the hell has the internet come to... your FREE pictures aren't good enough to get list... Back in 97 I would have been able to sell 30 pictures like that for a 1 time viewing fee of $3 or so....

I am just a little guy that don't really have to much of anything. So I would list that site and others like it if you want to send them my way.

Just got the site you submitted to me....(I wont post the URL, but if you are happy to.. pls do)

Couple of little problems..

First gallery pics are too big - most are 800+ pixels on the long side - which is ok if you can get the K size down a bit..

..but the pics are also 90-110 K in size... and that is too big for most surfers... they will leave your site while they wait for the pics to load...

The second gallery sort of goes the other way.. pic size is fine.. approx 600 long side... but they have been a little over-compressed - down to about 30K Some of them are Ok, but some end up very grainy and hatched... surfers wont buy if the think the site your selling has crappy pics.

I am assumming this is sponsor supplied content?

Now the sponsor you are using... http://www.broketeens.com/ would not be reccomended by me

The majority of their content appears to be Pixmasters - mass-collection stuff.. which as I said before is way overused and of questionable quality. It is/was fine for free sites and fillers a while back... but nowadays IMO would be classed as average or below average content.

I would find another sponsor..

Why the open directory? Why no INDEX.HTML page? I am able to wander around your directories, ignoring most of your pages and skipping right to the galleries...

index.html is your best real-estate... use it wisely! :-)

The content is very overused, especially when used as "teen girl" content. I can still find occasional uses for it for body parts and stuff (like butt shots, etc), but attempting to feature the girls directly isn't going to give you much, most surfers have seen them many times before.

Pixmasters has decent content, but you have to keep ahead of the curve on this stuff or you will find yourself getting less and less listings.

Being as I'm an old fat lazy woman I prefer to add this to my htaccess to turn off directory browsing.

Options -Indexes

Putting that in your htaccess will give them a 404 error if the try to snoop around in a directory.

The whole purpose of a free site is not to give way free porn in a nice clean little package, the reason is to sell porn to the surfers. The surfer must feel that it is an upgrade visiting your sponsor, not a downgrade. If your site looks darn nice and clean, why would the surfer care about visiting your sponsor, when he has it cosy and nice where he is?
You must make the surfer feel uncomfortable where he is, so that he gets tired and in the end decides to join a fresh designed pay site, to get the good stuff.

I know that it’s rather hard to think that way and design a site without go over the limit, but it will notice in your sales stats when you have found that right pitch of ‘ugliness’ style of a site.
Just keep building and look closely what your results are, in the end it will pay off if you work hard enough.
