Sunday The 8th - Zip A De Do Dah

Good weather here today. Cold, but "February in South England" cold, not "February in the northern part of the Arctic Circle" cold, as it has been over the past couple of weeks. I think (hope) the vicious cold spell has lifted and Britain is at least thinking of importing a bit of Spring at last.

I'm still at my friend's apartment, looking after his dogs and cats while he is away. After breakfast I took both dogs for a walk with the housekeeper, then afterwards took the older dog out alone (the puppy can only manage a short walk, the older dog still wants a long walk) and left the puppy at home with the housekeeper.

A lovely day, the sun was shining, the sky was blue, the river sparkling, and all the little birds were in the trees. It made me happy, made a great start to the day.

Then I came home, and while we had been out, the puppy had taken a shit behind the couch.

P.S. I think I've screwed this thread up for Cleo. She lives in Florida so I'm guessing that she can't start her reply in her usual way - because that would be "No good weather here today...."

I hope you let the puppy and dog cuddle up in bed with you on these cold nights. Did you leave the shit for the housekeeper to clean up? - that's her job!
