Just call me the Newb!!
Hey guys ( and gals ) , I just stumbled accross your board, just wanted to say Hey....
I stumbled by cause I am very interested in starting my own "adult content" web site... I was hoping somebody could point me in the right direction on where to get started. -who to use for a host. -cash services. -and really what kind of skills does one need to do this.. -are there any people who have taken a bath trying to get into this business ? Trust me morals went out the window 5 years ago, I am really eager to start this.. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance... PS and if all else fails, hey I gave it a shot! |

Hello there, welcome!
You could get more specific answers on skills needed if we know how much you would like to do yourself, how much you will outsource, etc. I don't use cyburwurx yet, but I hear many good things about them and they are probably my next host. Just remember that with hosting(and alot of other stuff), you get what you pay for. I don't use any processors either, ccbill is seen alot though, I think there might be only 3 or so. If you have never sold online or done html you might want to start with some newbie courses to just get your feet wet with the business. Adult webmasters need morals too.

Thanks for the warm welcomes!
I do know some HTML, prob. more than I think. I am familiar with webhosts but none that have done adult content, from what I understand most run of the mill pay services and web hosts will not do adult material. To be honest I would rather not outsource, except for content of course, I am not geared to take pics and vid's of couples and stuff, God knows we would all love to! |

Shoot an e-mail to different host about adult content. This will get you two answers: 1. do they accept adult? 2. how quick is their response time?
