Linkster...not sure why you think I'm causing your DB problems...

This is how I submit.

Like I stated in e-mail I've never needed to click submit more than once on your site- or anyone elses for that matter.

Actually, last night it seemed on the url I copied, it copied an extra character like a comma, and a couple sites said the URL was not valid.

I don't recall your site having this problem though.

I think the memory in clipboard must have gotten messed up because when a couple sites stated I must put in a valid URL, I double checked it character by character and visually it looked fine.

Maybe from now on I'll just copy the link straight from the browser and onto submit pages.

Send a message via ICQ to Linkster
I think whats happening actually is some extra characters are getting into your text - best when you use something like notepad or wordpad check to be sure there are no extra "hidden" ascii characters - looking at my logs now, but so far that would be the best explanation I can come up with - almost like sending an extra character to a printer that causes it to print dozens of pages with little funny characters on the top

That also fucks up my script. IN fact I've done it myself while adding in sponsor stuff.

Looks like I'm switching scripts to Links SQL so maybe this will help with this problem as well.

How can ya tell if there was garbage copied into memory?

I guess I'll know now if someone's script complains and I'll just copy and paste again.

The only script that gave me feedback that there was an invisible character in memory was- I think...outlaws...maybe jk's...

<shrug>

Anyways, it told me "No invalid characters allowed then had a ' within quotes.

Tommy's kept stating in red the url MUST begin with "http://" and that was what was there. LOL.

I just looked at the url using the cursor keys and went over every character. http:// it was.

So, I did what anyone would- stared at it long and hard then clicked submit again...went through no probs.

I guess this may happen more if one copies extra blank spaces or somethin'.

I used the same copy and paste on everyone's submission page...so I guess it's up to the script to give feedback if there's something funky in the url or one of the fields.

Cleo, did I cause probs with your database last night around 8:45-9PM EST?

Sorry- I'll try to keep my clipboard free of gremlins and such.
