Update on new tv show "Skin"

While Skin premieres Sunday night in Canada (on Global - CH), in the US it premieres Monday at 9 on Fox. I didn't think an American network would show it on a Sunday. LOL

Anyway, y'all should watch it. This is mainstream meeting us , if you know what I mean.

Ron Silver is portraying the character, Larry Goldman, who has made his millions in porn. This is what he had to say in an interview for Star Week tv magazine when asked what issues his character and the show itself raises:

"Pornography is a legal business, for starters. Good pornography deals with sexuality, and sexuality, whether it's expressed or repressed, has a lot to do with underlying motivations and why people do what they do.

Everybody has some sort of relation to sexuality, and that's an interesting area to explore.

Also pornography, and the job I have (on the show), I find very interesting to analogize to other businesses. There are people who are the CEOs of some very mainstream legitimate businesses that, in what they consider best practises and what they do corporately, have a whole different series of ethical rules than they would apply to their home life or their friends.

Pornography is really, whether people want to admit it or not, part of the mainstream in ways that people don't want to recognize. And this character is going to explore that, ... " auth: Rob Salem
