My First Free Site - Listable?

Hey there Koalat

A few points to consider...

Your site title is a bit long. Try to contain it to 3 to 5 words. And pay close attention to specific link list rules...some limit you to 3 words. But most will go to 4 or 5.

Your 2257 page is 404.

You might want to mix up your text a bit. Having exactly the same text page after page will definitely cut down on sponsor clicks...and will also hurt you in the search engines.

Noticed you're promoting 2 different asian sites on the main and gallery pages. That can be confusing for the surfer...hard to convince him your main asian site is the best one online if you're offering another asian site. If you want to promote something else on those pages, make it something different. I like to call these shocker ads...something to grab the surfer by his balls and get his attention. Maybe a monster dildo site...or a throat jobs site...something nasty

On your gallery pages, that link in the middle "Click Here for More Hot Asians"...funny you put that there...lol. We've been talking about that very kind of link the past few days. With no mention of the sponsor site close by...and no real indication that 'More' link in fact goes to a sponsor site, I'd have to call it a blind link

Oh, and lastly...don't see my recip on there...you gotta fix that right away!

Seriously though...not a bad first attempt. Tighten up some of those issues, and I'd be happy to list it

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

I updated my 2257 links, (and the link to my own recip ) put in some meta tags, and changed up the text on my gallery pages.

Now, as far as the two different asian sites, if you sign up to one you get access to the other. Is it better if I communicate that better in my text (now in my gallery pages) or if I should just stick with the one site and change the banners?

Useless Warrior, I appreciate your concerns with regards to the domain registration, but I'm as honest as they come. I know it's all fine and good to say that, but in time I'm sure you will see.

How many recips can I put on the warning page?

How am I going to see how honest you are if I won't list you in the first place? There are people with hidden whois info that I list, but I know them. I don't know you. Trust me, I'm not the only one who follows this policy. I'm just the one willing to tell you that I do.

Cool. I would do the same thing if I were in your position. However, as I'm new at this, of course you don't know me. I have no complaints that you don't know or trust me at this point, but like I mentioned before, hopefully in time you (and others) will.

I'm just trying to get started in this biz, and learn as I go.

I realize that to succeed you need to put in loads of time and energy and deal with piles of BS as it comes up.

You didn't say if you are going to fix your whois.. as UW said many of us will not list it if there isn't proper whois info. I think you will find some of the bigger ll's won't.

He could use a fake name for his whois and you wouldn't recognize it so it would make no difference. In my opinion you should not judge by the whois information but on the quality and reputation someone has.
On some domains / projects I use whois protection too because I feel saver this way.

Actually most of the LL owners around here can pick out a fake name pretty easily - and we do on a daily basis I can tell you that the fact is that most larger LLs will not list you if you use whois protection.

koalat - the one thing that would have dumped the submit before we even made it into the whois database is the title - having the name of a paysite in the title will get you declined pretty much everywhere

I'm as of yet undecided on whether I should change my whois info.. I mean if I keep submitting to the same ll's am I wrong in assuming that in time they'll probably list me even if I don't change my whois?

And even if I do change it, it's not like that would be a guarantee that I'd get listed...

Are there any sites that for sure won't list my free sites just because of my whois info? Which ones?

You're welcome to your opinion. And so are all the ll owners. The problem is when we find a common thread with cheaters like free hosting, fake whois, .info tlds, protected whois etc its just one easier way to avoid a bunch less shit when doing the listings. So you make it against the rules or even blacklist for it. You get sooooo much shit that you need ways to cut it down.

Most link sites don't have space for huge titles. Keep your site title to something reasonable that we can list.

Don't use hidden proxies or other methods to hide who you are. If I can't find out who you are, I have to assume you are the same scammer that screwed me over with a domainsbyproxy listing. Until you prove otherwise, that is what I have to assume based on what I see.

Why allasian.html instead of index.html? You have no index.html page, so what exactly are you thinking here?

It's not a horrible first try... but as mentioned in another thread here this week, don't try to re-invent the wheel first time out of the box. Keep it simple and honest, and people will be happy to list you.

I noticed digging around on your hub page you are have both a counter and dynamic banners that pull info from somewhere other then your site? I could be wrong, but that's what a cursory glance kinda indicated.

Don't use those kinds of things on any free-site you submit.

It is frowned upon, basically you want everything you display to be served yourself so that YOU and only you have control over the content.

That means no I-frames, no free servers and no banners hosted at the sponser side.
