This one needs a product warning label
Okay, maybe I'm just a little bit twisted, but I got the Plow & Hearth holiday catalog and one of their items just seemed "wrong" to me at first glance.

Holy Shit, thank you Simon. I told Greenie last week that we were getting rid of our stove like that in our kitchen because dogs with no hair don't do too well rubbing against it. But that thing will work
![]() And, it could double as punishment to our Grandchildren ![]() |

I like that.
![]() Just the threat of using it that way could say you a lot of hours babysitting. (But I know you love them and want them around.) If my Photoshop skills were good enough to do it quicky, I thought that the warning label could have two side-by-side pics, one with the kid on the floor outside the 'playpen' and one with him on the floor inside. Nice red circle and line over the one marked "wrong." ![]()

I wouldnt waste my time. I tend to still be of the old school caveman thoughts. Like my dad did to me. He let me put my fingers in the wall sockets. I found out really fast not to do that. Hum the stove tho? I don't know. I think I would just tell my kid that's where mommy keeps the vampires from home and she will let them out tonight while they are taking a bath so the vampire can hide under your bed. SO BE GOOD DAM IT!

![]() Actually I think they need to call it something else. To my ear, "child-proof" always sounds like they want to keep the kids out of the house.

LOL when I think of child proof I think of a house that is just a total pain to live in. I don't have kids but when I was living back home, my nephew was with us. He was 2 or 3 and I always hated the "Child Proof" house. Just opening the cabinate to toss out garbage required unlatching something. Opening the refrig, latch needs to be unlocked. God it was a pain.
Seriously tho, when/if I do have kids I'm not going to try and sheild them from so much. I really think that type of parental guidance is hurting the younger generation. They expect mom and dad to fix to much. Don't get me wrong I won't let my 3 yr old out of the house by it's self but I won't put a collor on it either. Well maybe one of those invisible fence ones would be cool. This way I can sit in the house and drink beer. LOL |
