It's ok to change some recips on listed sites ?

This is the scenario:

1) Link List 'A' accepted my site
2) Link List 'B' rejected it, but I can resubmit to another category to get listed
3) Link List 'C' rejected it, and can't do nothing about that

Now if I do this:

1) Change B's recip to the one that has the right category on it
2) Submit the site to a new Link List, say 'D' and change C's recip for D's recip

Will I get into trouble with 'A' for this ? I would only be changing recips and only when I know for sure that a Link List will not list my site.

Nobody would give you any trouble for this.

I doubt you'd get in trouble for it.

(I say doubt because there is always the potential that one Link List doesn't like another - but there's not a lot of those issues)

Interesting point Greenie, How is a fs submitter to know which LL are persona no grata. Could something like this cause one to be declined without even knowing it?

There's not many of those issues out there fortunately. And the few that do have that issue, 'usually' will have something in their rules about it.

However, anything is possible when you have literally thousands of link sites...all run by individuals. Just like some send emails, some don't. It's one of those trial and error things...if you find you're not being listed, contact the list owner/reviewer. If no response, drop the list and find another to replace it

Personally speaking for my LinkList Smutgremlins I encourage people to swap recips if they got rejected at other LL and no way to get listed with that site.. I say swap!!!

Its good for both the submitter and the LL in my opinion, why would I wanna be the only LinkList that accepted your site with a bunch of rejected ones? Means no traffic to you or me!!

Got very little online work done today, but quite a bit of house cleaning. Been one of those weeks where the house has been let go since I been so busy I havent had a chance to do my daily picking up. Hopefully the wife and kids will let me get some work done tonight, but I aint gonna count on it.

After a bit of a warm up this week, today is quite a bit colder today, but suppose to warm right back up tomorrow, hell they are even saying a chance of thunderstorms this weekend.

Thanks for the answers, good to know that I can change the recips when the occasion arises. As Emerald, I also thought that this is beneficial for both submitters and LLs, but anyway wanted to ask just to be on the safe side
